Lovely golden color. Fantastic fruit on the nose citrus, pineapple, apricot, mango. Just an incredible scent. Very unique. Hints of fresh flowers. The palate continued with the strong fruit flavors candied tropical fruits, dried fruits. Sweet, but not like a port or sherry. Honey - wait, jam/marmalade. Oh god, yes, an apricot marmalade. That's it. The finish? Lingers with you.Intense.Can stay dreaming about the flavors for a few minutes until your next sip.

Yummy moldy grapes! Tropical fruit like pineapple alongside apricot, honey and saffron. Incredible body and weight on the palate without being too sweet, there’s some acidity still to help balance it also

Nice nose of apricots and botrytis. Same apricots and vanilla on the palate, acacia honey, pineapple to add some tropical flair. Very sweet but with enough acidity to support it. Very pleasant overall. Not sure about ageing though. It seems ready to go, I would not hold for more than 5 years. I find the acidity just enough to support its sweetness now. I understand my note regarding to ageing is definitely in contrast with previous notes from other users.

See previous notes. Amber gold in glass. Pronounced intensity on the nose. Apricot marmalade, oranges, burnt caramel. Good acidity, with a medium finish that’s slightly off balance to warrant a higher score.

94% Semillon, 6% Sauvignon blanc. My first experience with Sauternes. Popped open the first night to take a sip before enjoying the remainder tomorrow. Pours a deep golden, really beautiful color. Nose is unlike anything I’ve ever had, smells of marzipan and dried pineapple. Dried tropical fruits really, I feel like I can pick out pineapple, mango, and kiwi especially. Honey on the palate, and a note I can only describe as Dole mandarin slices in their own juice, which I don’t think is a bad thing. More of the dried tropical fruits on the palate. Acidity is very refreshing, and the sweetness is not in any way cloying. Very balanced. Incredibly complex, maybe finishing notes of dried apricot and overripe mango. So many flavors I feel like I could pick out if given enough time, but that’s a wrap for day one. Showing nicely on the first day, enjoyed with some Roquefort that paired fantastically.
On the second day it was paired with Roquefort, dried apricots, candied pecans, apple tarte tatin and vanilla ice cream. Same nose as yesterday, the palate has developed into vanilla and dried tropical fruits. Truly one of the most delicious things I’ve ever tried. Incredible. Opened my eyes to the world of dessert wine. Very rich, incredibly delicious. Wow.

Nose: It smells the way that Sauternes should. Semillon; poached pear and apple and apricot. Just a hint of baking spice in this young phase.
Palate: Good crisp acidity. Honey and orchard jam. A light touch of toast and nuts. There is just the gentlest hint of orange blossoms, and grass. Bit of prune, dried dates, and dried apricots.
Finish: Long. Lingering acidity and honey gives way to toast and gentle crisp apple notes.
Overall: This is a lovely classic Sauterne with the potential to go very far.
NB: Drank from a half bottle.

Tasted this against ‘01 over 2 days which was a great opportunity to compare differences in age. On day 2 this was quite nice, fruit flavors were way more balanced. Nice acidity, mandarin flavors on top of banana custard notes. Affirms a new personal decanting rule that I will double decant and drink young sauternes (under 15 yrs old) on day 2. Day 1 this didn’t show well.

The nose shows more of the candied pineapple, tropical fruit, and honey side of the wine, while the palate has everything from white flowers, grapefruit, preserves lemon, candied lemon, candies orange peel, ginger, wax, dried apricot, almond, mushroom, smoke, and the list goes on. Amazing poise despite significant weight. Spectacular complexity, though tons of fun to drink now.

This wine is receiving rave reviews. I'm afraid I can't add one more. Beautiful elegant nose, great lightness and poise. Excellent start on the palate, but then the sugar arrives on the back palate, quite cloying and one dimensional. It is possible that I am drinking this wine too young (and, I admit, I simply don't understand how one can drink young Sauternes). Suduiraut is a great wine, and this was a great vintage, but I am having difficulty finishing what I have in my glass.

A great saternes in the making, ane already delicious now. A heavenly pina colada, with explosive and multi-dimensional fruit flavor. My strategy is to drink over the next 1-2 years and save the rest for after 2030. I prefer sauternes within 3-6 years old, and after 15 years from the vintage. This wine will almost certainly worth an extre point or 2 when fully mature. Please watch the serving temperature, young sauternes are ultra sensitive.

Gorgeous nose with lots of depth - Honeyed fruit, tropical fruit notes, spices, flowers, vanillin, orange peel. On the palate concentrated and layered, lots of weight and power, but also so much lift from remarkable levels of acidity. Just perfectly balanced - so vibrant and still rich and mouth-coating. Very very long, too. Fantastic! 96-97+

If you are a fan of sweet wines, grab a bottle or two. This is incredibly rich, sweet and intense. But there is more than ample acidity to keep the wine taut. The vanilla custard, coconut, pineapple and over-ripe apricots all coated with a massive spoonful of honey is an intense, sweet treat.

First look at Sauternes 2015 from barrel (Camping du Lac Bordeaux): Well, now, this is textbook Suduiraut: rich, large scaled but with just the acidity needed to prevent a sensation of a warm or flabby finish. A bit on the border though for me, in 2015, based on this sample, but overall an excellent entry for fans of this wine.

UGC Bordeaux Tasting 2015 Vintage (City View, Metreon, San Francisco): Aromatic, floral, complex, beautiful fruit; medium-full bodied, slight heat, great fruit; medium-long finish. Nice. 91-92

Lords 2015 en primeur tasting. A barrel sample. So much better than the '10. Surprisingly together (Sauternes this young can just taste like grape juice) complex, balanced and with an extremely long finish.

Made from 94% Semillon and 6% Sauvignon Blanc, the wine serves up a nose of honey, apricot, vanilla bean, roasted nut, flowers, papaya and orange. The wine is luscious, sweet, fat and fresh, with a long, intense, mouth filling finish. 95 - 97 Pts
