Not bad for being past it’s prime. Raisiny with a chalky mouth-feel. Got lost in the back of the rack waiting for guests to come back after pandemic. Acceptable at best.

I agree with JROBS7777's most recent comment - a very pleasant wine, though not outstanding. It is certainly not too old as of New Year's Day, 2017. Dark fruit with a modest array of secondary notes (which I did not bother to identify or record). Moderate finish. The mount feel was a bit thin. A nice glass to go with our New Year rib roast.

Hey this is not that bad. It seems to have a emerged from a little sleep. It's not a knockout but it has turned into a nice solid wine. Secondary notes still framed by some fruit. Nice.

I hadn't had a Bordeaux all year and saw this in my cellar with a drink after 2012 on the bottle tag so pulled it off the rack. Pomeral has always been a favorite region of mine and I was hoping for a good experience. Well the wine fell flat. It was flabby, tired and underwhelming. Had a raisiny nose and short finish.

Black fruit is mostly gone giving way to some nice secondary flavors of chocolate, espresso and cigar box. Nice flinty minerality adds some extra interest. Drink now.

Could this still be in a dumb phase? I had a lot of hope for this when we bought a case several years ago. Now, though, after 3 bottles spread out over the past 3 years, my expectations have been lowered. This showed some signs of promise. Oaky, graphite, darker fruits and minerals on the nose and palate, but only fleeting and difficult to coax. Overall. this was muted and seemed to flatted out after time in the glass. We will continue to hold. Next bottle probably should not be opened until mid-2012.

Somewhat closed on the nose and the mouth. Some earthiness and subdued red fruit on the nose. Medium bodied and dark red in color. Dark red fruit , earthiness with some lingering tannins.

Blackberry, pencil lead and cedar nose. Restrained dark fruit with some earthiness and cedar on the palate. Dry, moderately tannic finish. Medium length. A bit firm at this point.

A Tale Of Two Hauts - 03 Bdx: Not sure what is going on here. With 10 remaining of the case, will definitely let these sit for at least another 18 months before trying again. We decided to try this against an 03 St. Estephe for the fun of it. On this night, the St. Estephe was better. Not decidedly better, due to the nose on this Pomerol. Great nose on this inky purple juice. Kirsch, toasted oak and good red fruit. But on the palate, the same concentration a bit lacking. Not necessarily thin, but the wine failed to really develop. Instead, it seemed to be wound very tight and did not show itself. Nice lengthy finish. I still have high hopes that this will round into form and hit 90+ points, but right now the 87 score is probably generous.

Nice fruit but showing more age that would have expected in terms of fading fruit, especially for this vintage. Nice, but not great. Some might say that this has a great reflection of the terrior. Perhaps, but still seemed a bit too restrained.

Interesting. Started out inky purple turning to a deep red. Initially, some nice fruit on the nose -- raspberry, sour cherry mixed with some oak and pencil shavings. Beautiful raspberry shot upon first taste and very smooth and structured on the palate. However, as the night wore on (following 1 hour decant and several hours of sitting), the wine definitely closed up. It lost the fruitiness and the tannins dominated. Good potential here and with 11 more bottles to go, we look forward to seeing this nice Pomerol develop.

struck me as somewhat light in color which foretold that the palate was a bit on the weak side. lacks concentration and complexity. high in tannins which may outlive the fruit. other than that, great balance. a tasty, presentable pomerol. nice mineral/merlot vibe going on. nothing to be ashamed of although i feel it is overpriced.

Dark fruits, but definitely fading. Graphite, and a little herbal. Solid, but not awesome
