Light to medium red in color, cherry, red berries, touch of citrus, medium nose, needed time to open up, and nice finish. Drank with a rice chicken vegetable bowl but it didn’t do that well with the spice and peppers snd salt

A nice GSM blend that might be getting old. It never really opened up, was best after 30 minutes in decanter, then began to fade after an hour. We didn't get that soft fruity Grenache flavor that we like so much, it was a bit lean and tight. After 90 minutes it was actually getting tart. I'm thinking this is best young and should be drunk after 3 or 4 years.

Wine Spectator newbies; 10/18/2018-10/20/2018 (Marriott Marquis): I'm sure part of this note was colored by listening to Eric Jensen describe his philosophy (some of which I agree with, some of which not so much). As he explained it, this is a wine that is meant to be yummy. And it's prob true that if a five year old was going to drink wine, this is the wine that they would want to drink. It's very fruity and ripe and more intense. It's that new world Grenache where there's an overly candied nature to it. A wine meant to be drinkable early because (and I quote) 'women like their wine young'. I think he's hanging out with the wrong women. Not really my cup of tea even if it is structurally sound.

The folks at Booker clearly said that the 2014s need a few years, and that is clear with this one. Lots of potential, and just starting to bloom. Drink the 2015s from this winery ahead of the 2014s and your patience will be rewarded.

Easy to drink, likable and fairly complex wine. Lots of fruit and plenty of tannins. Can be drunk now, but may become better. Biggest challenge is I am no big fan of Mourvedre...

I enjoyed this bottle, very restrained for a Booker but deep red fruits with leather and earth. Good tannic grip. If you're looking for something with the density of SQN you will not find it here. Nice bottle

Booker: Weak, thin, and linear. Some pepper and herb notes surrounding would-be fruit flavors of bitter cherry and dried plum (to the point of saddle leather). An odd wine. Almost no depth or concentration. Came off like a $10 throw down wine from a gas station. I don't see where anyone is getting any richness or semblance of a mid-palate from this wine.
I must admit that I grow increasingly tired of wineries who have gained professional accolades for some of their top tier wines, but never taste them at their winery. If you are only going to taste on your afterthought wines, don't bother having a tasting (or disclose that ahead of time before folks make an appointment, so they can weigh whether or not to bother with a visit).
As for this particular wine, it was an unfortunate representation of what this label is supposed to stand for. WS 95 points??? Errrrr... no... Touted as a CdP to the tune of a Janasse VV? Uh... no....

Dense & lush blend. Full-bodied with firm tannins. Paired with a juicy burger.
Big fruit on this one, with ripe plum, black cherry, & raspberry fruit. Vanilla, pepper, powdered sugar, licorice, dried grapefruit peel. Cedar, sandalwood. Grilled herbs.
54% Grenache, 29% Mourvèdre, 17% Counoise. Very tight & dense when first opened, but softened with air. Decanting recommended at this time.

Very big, inky, black cherry, dark chocolate. This has benefitted from time in the bottle.

Dark red big (14.4%) wine. Difficult to determine fruit and my best ID is black cherry, licorice and plum fruit. Nice finish.

Dark berries, licorice, sweet and spicy oak notes. The heat was evident, and became distracting as the wine warmed above cellar temp.

Nice blend, drank after 2013 Torrin Banshee, this would have been better with entree, rather than after
