Wine therapy. Carafe 20min.

Yes! This has put on weight in last two years. Bright red fruit, some earthiness, and increasingly prickly tannins on the finish after a few hours of air This is past the primary fruit stage I recall, but it is not yet to full maturity. Was my last bottle but still a 2-5 years from peak. This will not reach the highest peaks, but is proof that Good values can still be found off the beaten path, and this is one of them at $45. 90+

Just lacking a bit of complexity for the price point, but still very elegant, fresh and pretty aromas and flavors. Should be open a few hours prior of serving to add dimension since last glass was the best.

My least favorite of the 6 Marsannay wines tasted. Light bodied but lots of petrol on the nose. Double decanted 3 hours prior and gave it plenty of time in the glass to blow off.

Martine's Wines - Portfolio Tasting (Sofitel - Chicago IL): Tasting, brief note. Black and red fruit with good structure and good+ balance. More accessible vs Ragonneau and more elegant, but seemed to have slightly less concentration.

Knightsbridge Annual Holiday Burgundy/Champagne Tasting and Sale (Northbrook, IL): Walk around tasting. Combination of black and red cherry with bright textures and good balance. Good+ depth and weight for its level. I liked this more today vs when last tasted in 2017.

Knightsbridge 11th Annual Burgundy and Champagne Tasting (Northbrook, IL): Really impressive for the appellation, showing a really intense juiciness and lovely freshness. Bright red fruit that is a little crunchy. Not too complex on the palate, but lovely and very approachable.
