Further to my Note of Feb 5, 2020: This may be #12 from the case. Fruit has evolved some, still there with some smokiness. Delicious with sockeye salmon. Solid notable+.

Further to my Note of Aug 22 '19: We have had two more bottles over the last 10 days, and this continues to please, even leaving some for 24h. Still finding the Burgundian character, esp. with some time after opening.

Further to my TN of December 19, '18: This continues to please; we've had 12b or more since initial purchase 2+ years ago. Drank this over two days with beef roast the first evening, ham sandwich the second. Color still good, detected more Burgundian character this time--probably helped that I could linger over dinner and give this some time in the glass. Still notable+ and glad that I have more.

Ruby red. Touches on all the hallmarks is Pinot without standing out in any great nor horrible way. Fruity/Oakey nose, juicy red fruit palate and decent acid:tanin. Supermarket pick up for our hotel at Disneyland where we just got screwtops to not worry about finding a corkscrew.

Bought a 12b case from a local retailer a year ago--8/b thanks to a generous 4/b mfr rebate. Not decanted until halfway through when I noticed a bit of sediment. Pale red color, fragrant nose with strawberry, other red fruit and some spice, tasty with round mouthfeel--overall a good everyday PN at the rebate price. I've had most of the case over the past year and wonder if it might be starting to lose fruit: since the meal included a bit of vinegar, I'll withhold judgement until I try it alone or with a better food match. Stored vertically (screwcap) in a cool, dark basement since purchase. My evaluation: I've stopped giving scores on a "100-point scale" as I've become less convinced that they can be meaningful to others. I use a 4-category scale (perhaps with +/-)--not including flawed--which runs outstanding/notable/drinkable/poor. I considered this notable when considering quality, age, and price.

The wine looks crimson colored. The legs are fast. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like raspberry, light toast and cinnamon. It tastes like raspberry, cherry and cinnamon. The body is light. The wine has bright texture. The wine finishes short. The wine has low acidity.

Entry level pinot. Thin and a little diluted but they have kept the alcohol at 13.5 which helps keep it drinkable. If you can get it for under $15 o.k.

Solid entry level Pinot Noir. No tartness in my bottle, and if anything this is toned down for the masses. Simple and smooth sums it up well. Lacks character.

Nice nose of earth and cranberries. Very light and tart on the palate. The 2014 is much better than the 2013, but there are better options at the same price point.

Fairly pungent on the nose, but also with some floral and cassis notes. Tart cherry flavor with a hint of earth and mushroom. Moderate to high acidity. Food friendly (went well with a baked mushroom pasta dish).

A bit pungent on the nose, with good acidity on the palette. Soft red fruits and almost no wood present. No tannins either, very simple but smooth wine.

I did not like the 2013 that much, but 2014 is showing much better. This is a delicate Oregon pinot but with enough concentration and structure to be great for the price point. Will drink again. 89-90.

Fairly neutral for a Pinot. Nothing special. There is floral nose, but it's subtle. Long finish with a slight bitterness at the end. Drinkable but not savourable.

This one was tough to rate. It is very drinkable. It is a good party wine. But not so good with food. Overly fruity and soft, without much acid, structure or complexity. Tannins seem to be missing.

Light ruby. Wafting aromas of red fruits that seem to turn on and off. Bright and lively. Cherry, raspberry, cranberry. Seems well made for what it is trying to be. Good value.

2014 Oregon Pinot (Part 1): Light ruby color. Aromas of bright cherries and strawberries with red licorice, sweet roses and cola. Medium-bodied, light tannins, crisp acidity. Flavors remind me of tart red apples, white cherries and wild strawberries. Notes of pepper, smoke and faint earth add a bit of complexity. Simple, pleasant stuff, this provides a great introduction to Oregon Pinot at a very reasonable price.

Light and decently aromatic, it speaks of Pinot but does not shout it. Good acid level but slightly course on tannins. No oak to speak of and somewhat developed a decent everyday Pinot. At $15 or under a decent value.
