  • Delicious wine, if a bit on the acidic side. Maybe with age the fruit had faded a bit. IMO, this would have benefited with pairing with a fish dish in a butter-based sauce that the French make so well. I am a fan of wines by Domaine Michel Brégeon.

  • Light gold color. Split bottle over 3 hours plus. This has a wonderful crystalline nose, powdery Meyer lemon, bristling wet stones, and more subtle white flowers. The palate has great tension and lift, medium body, citrus, Meyer lemon, brine, limestone and lemon zest. Very long, 60 seconds plus, with a bold citrus infused, stony dry extract finish. Love this. Great paired with our mussels. This has got some legs too - no rush.

  • Very good. I certainly endorse M. Brégeon's work in raising the pedigree, if that's the right word, of Muscadet. This is a classy wine with lots of nuance, depth, and resonance on the palette. It improves with air - it's much more than just a quaffer with oysters. Actually, I would like to try it with oysters. We had it with roasted pork, which may not be the optimal pairing but it went deliciously with it.

  • Solid but didn't rock me as much tonight even with a prefect pairing of fresh whole dorados.

  • Craft Wine+Beer tasting 3 (Reno): ROCKNROLLER’s note is right on. I would add there is a slight sweet banana note in there as well, and the tart acidity requires food; too much on its own. There is a light cream note in there that’s mostly masked by the bracing sour acidity

  • Whole Fish Night with Whites (It's Greek to Me, Mpls): Light gold color. Drank 1 glass over an hour. This is a pretty remarkable wine. As Chablis28 noted previously, a complete wine. What immediately stands out is the complexity of fruit, white peach in the forefront with clementine and apple backing that up along with stony minerality and white blossoms. The palate is both crisp and fresh, but with an intensity and balance that is superb. Those fruits are pure and beautiful and the powdery, sweet tart like, blast of sour citrus is fantastic on the palate. Full of wet stones and saline and bursting with energy. There is a depth and body, that for lack of a better word I will call richness, and complexity here that is exceptional in Muscadet. 92+ to 93pts.

  • This is the first Muscadet that I can say I really enjoyed. Usually, I drink a Muscadet about once a year and swear them off till the memory fades and once again I'm tempted to give the appellation another shot. Usually the wines are too dry and fruitless for me to appreciate but this wine was stellar, soulful and a complete wine. Still dryer than my favorite white, Chablis, this has a unique combination of stony, briny minerality, intensity, concentration and balancing flavors and depth to offset the acidity. I loved the subtle honey, apple and melon that serve as background notes to the stunning and dominate minerality. This wine, in its own right, has Grand Cru class and elegance. The minerally seashore nose is to die for. This is far and away the finest Muscadet I've ever had and it comes from an off vintage to boot. Kermit knows how to find wines with terroir, personality and class. This is another one! I'll likely grab more and cellar a couple of these. A white wine not to miss. Alc 12%. Paid $35 and worth it. Avery very solid 92pts+. I just can't give 93pts to Muscadet :).

  • Tasted over 2 hrs
    -translucent light gold
-faint stony yellow fruits slightly sweet
-med/med+ acidity, lighter weight, loaded with minerality and saline notes with some sappy faint yellow fruit, great focus but retains a soft mouthfeel - not lean, good length
-a bit more restrained and elegant than the Pepiere's Briords but just as brilliant

  • Pale yellow. Nose with yellow apples, citrus, oyster shells and lots of minerals. Very fresh mouthfeel with high acidity and notes of yellow apples, minerals, oysters and citrus, with a long aftertaste. Very good Muscadet!

  • Melon rind, grapefruit nose. Nice tension in the mouth. Easy to drink on pnp as no sharp edges. Yeast, very dry, subtle unripe honeydew melon, tiny bit of lime. This is a palate cleanser, refreshing. A lovely, easy to drink wine.
