incredible job with 2015. The wines have structure and material that are part of the vintage to look forward to in the long run but also give us a good showing of how present it is in the moment. Palate is absolute silk, it's seamless and fine with impressive spiced fruit and depth.

Pop/Pour and followed for 3 hours. Dark berries, sous bois, sweet sandalwood. Palate shows density of fruit that held on throughout the meal. Notes of spice that would remind me of Vosne if blinded.

Outstanding. Almost New World power, in a package of unmistakably Burgundian silk and finesse. Ripe, rich, pure, sweet strawberry and cranberry flavors, complemented by cinnamon/nutmeg baking spices. Vibrant, enlivening acidity. Great concentration and surely will reveal more complexity with age, but this baby fat is hard to resist. This actually impressed me more than the 2011 and 2014 Liger-Belair Vosne 1ers I've had though maybe I just prefer his work in riper vintages. I did love the 2014 of this as well.

For all of its earthy notes, and NSG rusticity, this is quite smooth and polished at the end of the day. More work to be done to fully process tannins and wood, but approachable today as many '15s are. Moderate depth.

Has some meaty reduction and plenty of oak spice. There's powerful dark fruits, loads of earth and a suggestion of purple flowers. It is ripe, rich, deep and long. Needs plenty of time.

Wow!

Liger-Belair Dinner (Hong Kong): A step in the right direction from either the ‘12 or ‘15 NSG Cras with more concentration and bright red cherry, but overall this flight isn’t that nice. Tasted with Louis Michel, bottles from the domaine.

954/2641. Sweet and somewhat overripe fruit with almost too much Liger aromatics. 92

Riper, fuller and longer than my favorite 2013 but just doesn’t have the exotic fun fruit of the 2013

This was so impressive for a 2015, super fine tannins, enough earth salt and delicate florals. CLB does make really good NSG’s

There’s significant depth and ripeness to this. Will need many years to uncoil and show the spice

Stem and reduction at the palate. Either a bad showing or well below class of stablemates.

Tuesday Cellar Visits in Burgundy - Remoissenet, Bernard Moreau, Pousse d'Or, Comte Liger-Belair (Cote d'Or): Barrel tasting at the domaine. Faint hints of malo/ reduction to start. Black and red fruit on nose and palate, coming across as probably the most backward (only backward?) wine in the lineup. Elegant textures and character for its terroir, with moderate weight and depth.
