Ready to drink now and there is some slight bricking as alluded to, but I would still suggest some air to open up the wine and smooth out the denseness of this wine. Definitely thick legs and loads of intensity on the palate as alluded to so would suggest spending some more time with this wine in the glass to let it open up.

Wow is this in a good place now. Thirty minute decant and it was singing. Dark purple with a hint of bricking on the edge. Delicious flavors of cocoa, dark cherries and a nice mustiness of meat and blue fruit on the nose. So good.

This is in a perfect spot right now. Enough structure to hold it together. Integrated tannins. Full bodied. Thick legs. Blackberry on the palate. Medium finish. Drink now-2025.

Deep purplish red. Dark nose with perfume, black cherries and light cocoa. Medium acidity with medium plus tannins (6.5/10) and a full body. Bright palate with cherries, herbs, minerality and chocolate. Long finish. Drink till 2035.

Decanted 1/2 hr. on day 1. Drank over 2 days. Nice dark fruit nose. Consistent lively yet smooth tastes of really dark fruits. Vacuumed & put in fridge overnight. Tasted as good, if not better, on day 2.

More time was great for this. Crazy to think I wrote 2020 on the bottle 3-4 years ago. And here it is. Balanced. Deep inky purple. Clogged the sulphate filter. BlackBerry juice
Coravin taste 3oz. This was sampled along with the PS-Library vineyard bottling and was more approachable with livelier fruit. Will let both bottles rest for a few more years though.

Black center and deep purple at the edge. A: Iron, raw beef, singed wood, bit of blue fruit. F: Black and blue fruits with waves of crushed asphalt and savory herbs, dense but not a heavyweight. Medium length, medium acid, and chewy but not overpowering tannin. From experience, probably better in a few years, but they are fun at this age too!

I'm not usually a petite syrah guy, but this? Realizing, I've popped it a bit early....yet enjoying over a dvd of Collective Soul and the Atlanta Youth Orchestra from 2004, it's heaven. Dark black fruit/color.....mid weight on entry.....herbal, lead pencil, maybe minty? Great acidity makes your mouth water for 20-30 seconds after you finally swallow.

14.4% abv. Dark, almost opaque ruby, expressive aromas. Cherries, black pepper, white flowers and a hint of mint on the palate. Extravagantly deep, intense, rich and long, but not ponderous. Very enjoyable now and should improve for years.

Lots of dark blue fruit, with notes of milk chocolate, plum, and orange zest over several hours of decanting. Has good acidity and some unresolved tannins. Quite young, as expected. Should only improve with age.

Black pepper and black fruit and black HR Giger acid that would make the crew of the Nostromo think twice - this wine needs a big fat steak. I had it with great friends and charcuterie, so sue me. In any case, it is glorious old-vine deliciousness. I go now.

Placeholder note: The 2014 Petite Syrah Pesenti Vineyard tastes like it was drawn from tank just after fermentation. It is every bit that intense and primary. The Pesenti is the most raw and unformed wine in this extensive range. At the same time, it is incredibly compelling

Pulled this by mistake. Meant to pull the zinfandel instead. Way, way too early. Dark and tannic with lots of vanilla, blackberry jam, and oak. Needs time, but should be great.
