This is NOW one of my top CA cabs! My problem is having to wait to drink her wine. It is still not at the peak of the drinking window, but is getting there. This is so mellow, perfect acidity and tannins with dark fruit flavors (aromas of the same mixed with forest). The full body but smooth lasting finish make this one of my top, along with Ms. Bryant!

Opened this tonight as I consider the 2018 allocation I got today. Seems to be in a very nice spot now. Drank over three hours after a 1.5 hour decant. It opened nicely and was more expressive over that time. This seems to be typical of most 2014s - more approachable early. Overall, an excellent wine coming into its prime. Makes ordering the 2018 Corra very easy.

A very smooth, feminine wine with a medium to light finish. Not nearly as good as my last bottle from a few years ago, which leads me to believe the drinking window is starting to close. Dark fruits with hints of spice and cola, but not much complexity. Quite a drop off from 3 years ago, though it could be due to bottle variation. I have one bottle left, which I don’t plan on holding past this year.

Ten hour decant. Deep dark magenta color. Rich maraschino cherry, nutmeg, blackberry, sugar cookie and subtle cola on the fruit forward nose. Silky smooth palate, with nice acidity. Firm tannins on the medium long finish.
This is a lovely, well-integrated wine, but I expect more at this price point. The fruit is a bit too dominant and it masks the complexity. The finish is also on the short side of medium long.

Four hour decant. Deep dark magenta color. Maple frosting, black cherry and Gala apple on the nose. Smooth, lush palate, with great acidity and lots of apples and cinnamon. Firm, fine tannins on the long finish.
This is a beautiful wine, but is very early in its drinking window. I’m looking forward to my next bottle in three years. The nose is likely to gain complexity in that timeframe.

Good napa fruit with a hint of sweetness from the oak but no vanilla or caramel dominating it. The fruits conjure up thoughts of dark blue berries stewed with notes of chocolate, grippy tannins help keep this fresh

Dark inky red color, well balanced California cab, quite tannic, low acid, drank over two days better on the second day. Black fruit on the nose, flavors of chocolate, very ripe blackberry, touch of tobacco, leather and maybe a hint of cheese aged in a cave, little oaky when first opened, oak wasn't noticeable day two. Medium-long finish. Very good, will be even better in 5-10 years.

Slow ox for about 3 hours, then consumed over 90 minutes at dinner. Very approachable this early, much more so than a 2012 Corra from about 6 months ago. Soft tannins, balanced, long finish especially towards the final glass. Ripe fruit, earth notes and complex aromas. What really stood out was the softness of the wine and a most unique mouth feel. I will be looking forward to Celia's February release of her 2015 cab.
This got a couple of three hours of slow ox. Drank over 90 minutes.
Also had a 2014 Futo OV/SL open
The Corra was largely the preferred wine in the group, as well as mine. A bit more of a Rutherford profile (dark red and black fruit; baking spices) and a more composed finish.
This showed quite nicely in its youth, but will no doubt age for years to come.

High intensity nose shows pedigree, notes of fresh oak, floral component, earth tones, dark fruit. Palate is soft but complex, mid-palate explodes in flavor, finishes very long with wonderful balance. Very pricey but if you're going to spend $130+ on a bottle this is a great choice. Will last for 10-40 years.
40% Pritchard Hill fruit, rest from Rutherford benches. Winemaker Celia Welch.

I’m going to join in on fellow CT (AGELVIS) tasting note of 12/27/2019. Three hour slow-ox then a four hour decant.

Elegance and feminity in a glass. Beautiful and soft. If I could cuddle with a wine, this would be it. Very good.

Drink at Del Frisco's Grill. Shared with several people who all thoroughly enjoyed the wine. Ms. Welch is super!
