Opened for 2.5 hours before drinking. Good nose and decent mid palate and length on the finish. Quite similar on day 2. Not sure whether this is slightly closed/understated or perhaps passed its peak. Still enjoyable either way !!

Excellent Willamette Pinot. Reminded me a nice Burgundy wine. Floral aroma and notes of strawberry and cherry. Nicely balanced and elegant, taste. Still enough acidity for a few more years. Drinking very well now too.

Ruby red. Deep nose of red fruits, underbrush and mineral. A bit of tart cherry, pomegranate, tannin still present and firm. Medium plus acid and medium plus finish. Overall this wine needs some time it just didn't seem ready at all. Almost cranky if you will. If opening soon I suggest a long decant or few more years.

A little spice, a little funk, ripe strawberry. Relatively low alcohol but still in a riper fuller bodied style than I prefer. Solid middle of the road new world Pinot, a modest step up from an average entry level bottle but not worth the ~$60 retail. I have one more bottle I’ll probably wait 4-5 years to open. ~6.5/10

Nose of raspberries and strawberries. Palate brings layers of raspberry and wild berry fruit with additional floral notes. Light cherry on the finish, with roses, red licorice, and cherry syrup.

Drinking at peak. Very Burgundian and more subtle than the other "three ladies" but less intense. Well balanced wine with good fruit, acidity and fully resolved tannins. long sweet finish. Great Thanksgiving wine.

very nice floral bouquet, short decant (~30min). Still a little shy for about an hour. very nice mouthfeel and finish, with bright fruit. However, this wine disappointed me slightly as the front palate, for me, led with green bell pepper which did not diminish over the course of the evening. A very well made and nicely structured wine, but that flavor profile is not my favorite and left me wanting to like the wine more than I did.

Short decant. Floral bouquet with ripe red fruit, lightly smoked meat, vanilla, cola and hints of earth. In the mouth, lots of fruit with mild tannins. I can still taste the meat in the back of the mouth. Yummy wine.

Earthy raspberry, dirt, slightly smoky coffee grounds. High acid, low tannin, light body. Not terribly complex and the finish is disappointing compared to mid palate. I’m not a Pinot aficionado and I wouldn’t pay retail for this but the quality is obviously higher than the $15-25 Pinots I’ve had recently. I don’t have enough experience with the style to guess how this will age but I have two more bottles (all three I got for $10 each in a discount mystery case) so I’ll likely find out. 6.5/10

Beautiful floral, red fruit, spicy earth, some orange zested chocolate, herbs. Just heavenly on the palate. Light with powerful and balanced red and dark fruit - dark cherry, raspberry, red plum, some ripe strawberry. Good acid. Num. Finish keeping this from 94-95 potential for me. I think it could use some time to reach maximum potential.

Elegant wine. Deep pinot nose and a well balanced palate packed with fruit and unobtrusive oak. Silky smooth with not a bit of weight. Very Burgundian. Will only get better.

Deep fragrant Pinot Noir nose jumps from the glass. Sweet fruit and unobtrusive oak influence. Good acidity. Marjorie remains my favorite of the "four ladies". More Burgundian in style than the more voluptuous sister wines.

Champagne and US Pinot tasting (Tords place): Winner of the tasting. Lovely Gevry-Charmbertin nose. Sour raspberry core and crushed slates, steely and mineralic. Warm ripe fruit with a touch of greenness (usually a bad thing but not in this one). Fruity and powerful palate but with lovely balanced acidity in the finish.

This wine is drinking beautifully young. As usual, the best of the four ladies. Fragrant Pinot nose leads to voluptuous Burgundian palate. Good acidity and long finish. Will gain a little complexity with bottle age, but the youthful exuberance makes waiting hard.

This wine has both red and dark fruit from strawberries, blackberries, cherries and some raspberries but also earthy notes and some dark minerals. The tannic structure is sandy and grippy for a Pinot Noir, but of very good quality. We also get a good acidity that balanced this wine, and gives a fresh finish. This is a complex and multi layered wine og great quality.

Two days tasting in Oregon; 3/13/2017-3/14/2017 (Willamette Valley, OR): I liked this the best of the "Ladies". Really in the sweet spot, as it hd more heft, but still so fresh and so complex. Raspberry, ripe bing cherry. some herbal notes, with a pleasant leafiness. well integrated soft tannins. med(+) finish. A delight.

Great. In a very good window, but fruit still intact. Could probably last for a decade or more.

Light & delicate, much more so than the other ladies. Fruity, light tannins. Not much earth, slight hint of vanilla. Medium finish. Nice wine.

Grymt bra vin!
