I rather enjoyed this. Quite pale. Nose is SB dominant but none the worse for it. Some aged funk on the nose that gave it more interest, though it was actually very clean, not decaying. Not really like anything else. Classy and well made. At less than £10 currently, this is great value.

I note the previous reviewers disappointment at the variability and apparent excessive age on one bottle, but I seemed to have hit the jackpot here. Not especially dark. Well defined nose of lime, wax and passionfruit. Light-medium weight. Loads of refreshing acidity. Worth taking a punt.

Second bottle of two - while the other one had some life in it, the fruit had almost entirely vanished. Drink up asap - would not recommend buying more (even at £10 DP with L&W)

2003 Bordeaux (Piccolino, Liverpool Street Stn, London): Fresh SB nose. Quite fruity. Fuller with far more semillon evident on the palate. Nicely full with a fresh finish. Some fatness here. Really quite good. Might become a little tiring after a glass or so. ***

2003 Bordeaux (Piccolino, Exchange Square, London): Lightly creamy, floral then nettle nose. Medium bodied, nettles, touch of peach, fresh acidity, medium length finish. Decent, quaffable.
