Great condition for a 19 year old wine. Colour is deep ruby with the slightest touch of garnet. Loads of fruit and spice. Red and black plums and cherries, plum pudding, baked raspberries, dried black cherries, black pepper, rich dark chocolate, hints of leather and tobacco leaf, vanilla, cedar. Lingering finish with fruit and savoury notes. High alcohol, medium + to high acid. Full bodied, pronounced flavour intensity. Will continue to develop in bottle. Enjoy now and drink through to 2030 or 2035. If corks are as intact as this bottle.

Decanted for 40 minutes. Lovely balance with well integrated tannins. Cooked red fruit and unmistakable Barossa pepper and spice. Developed well over an hour or so.

Consistent with earlier tasting notes, at sixteen years of age, this is aging gracefully, but starting to show its age with slight signs of diminution of the fruits.
Upon opening it was slightly obtuse with a bit of an edge, but over the course of an hour it opened, softened and became more approachable.
Dark inky purple color, full bodied, thick, chewy layers of aromatic flavors of tangy black fruits, raspberry, black cherry and black currants, accented by tones of clove spice, graphite & hints of creme de cassis on a smooth polished moderate tannin finish.

Confused.com with this one. This is Two Hands Bella Garden's sister wine (i.e. Barossa, RRP $60 range) made under the BCH label. Quite a bright, lively purple, still youthful in appearance. 90 mins in the decanter and this was quite tart and unapproachable. 4 hours in it starts opening up a little, 5 and half hours in unfortunately the bottle was emptying, just when it started coming to life. Quite remarkable really, but then again I stand by my comments/reviews that Bella 04 also needs more time. Hold this one guys, try again say early 2018.

Deep garnet color. Still plenty of spice on the pallet but has softened and become better integrated. This has probably aged as well as any Shiraz in this price range save for the 2004 Hazy Blur Baroota

Opaque indigo color. The edginess this had in earlier years has given way to a balanced, layered Shiraz. It has lost some of its fruit but now evidences additional depth and balance. Clove, pepper and some mushroom on the palate. Smooth, integrated tannins and a medium finish with a touch of oak.

Good structure, but not expressive. Fruit is gone. I remember this being an overpowering fruit bomb the last time I tried it, but that was in 2006. Happy that the wine has settled down a bit after eight years, but it seems to have settled down too much. Not much of interest there anymore. Have one bottle left, but will not save it for any sort of special occasion. Not offensive, but very forgettable.

As I do so often I try wines on day 3 and thank goodness I did with this. No longer thin and astringent on the palate. Roasted meat, spices, berries and floral notes. Complex, long finish. Excellent wine.
Lovely nose of charcoal, boysenberries, raspberries and floral. On the palate it is a bit astringent. Medium finish. Hold.

Tasted double blind. I knew this was an Aussie shiraz right away. Not because it was only fruit but it had a characteristic tart, tangy, sleek profile. The nose was pleasant with some licorice. The palate had the fruit and the finish showed some cedar notes. I thought it was very nice, though I still enjoy some of these unfashionable wines.

This has softened some (pleasantly) since my 2/5/12 notes. Still very fruit forward and spicy...a super accompaniment to barbecue pork, chicken and brisket. Some of the edge has gone and this is now better balanced.

A nice wine overall. Good color, nose, mouthfeel. Loaded with red fruit notes. Drinking very well now. Would have scored higher if not for an uncharacteristic acidity/sourness present in this barossa shiraz.

Deep indigo color in the glass. Clove, some fruit and spice on the nose. Full of blackberry and black raspberry on the palate with significant minerality and pencil lead. Still a fruit bomb at 8 years. Accompanied by Sopresata, Gouda, guacamole and chips as a Super Bowl prelude.

Deep purple color in the glass. Huge mouth feel but not quite the "coat your tongue" feel that a Ch. Tanunda might have. Still delicious. Deep, dark berry with more than a hint of minerality. Seems to have developed some balance with age but very big none the less.

Wine was simply one of the best I have tasted in a long while. 2 years ago - different wine - now smooth, many flavours, tremendous length - the flavours just keep on coming - very tasty - hence less food friendly - but a mind blowing wine - highly recommended.

Fantastic! Just coming into its own now. Decanted for 15 min only, opened up nicely. Tannins are still there but lightly. DARK fruit and a little jammy. This was a pleasure to drink and I cant wait to open another. Ridiculously smooth and classy. Wont get any better

It is a very well put together wine...just not my taste. Sweet nose, lots of black fruit.Tons and tons of candied-fruit and silky tannins, which easily hide the 15% alcohol. Finish is shorter than expected. Will likely flip/gift remaining bottles.

I agree with some of the other reviews. This is a good solid wine, it is somewhat more tart than I like however that was not unexpected. I also got this on sale for about 30 which they claimed was marked down from 80.
