Dried dark fruit, cherry and plum. Bright acidity rounding it out nicely. Not overly manipulated or oaked. A well made wine that lets the natural flavors shine.

Two hour slow ox. Deep dark purple color. Pomegranate, terra cota, blackberry and chamomile tea on the seasoned fruity nose. Dry, velvety, juicy, mouth filling palate, with great acidity. Firm, full tannins on the longish finish. This is a unique, wonderful wine. Great vintage and great winery in Paso. 100% Carignan

Vinturied, not as fresh as th last one consumed a year ago, the acid seemed to bite at the end, esp w/o food, Still a enjoyable wine, just not as.... I’m out on predicting the drinking window. Now thru 2023?

This is wine. This is very good wine. It’s not trying to be something from elsewhere. It’s not trying to be defined by its vinification. It’s not Oak and it’s not Jam. It represents where it comes from. What it’s made of rather than how it’s made. It’s components are in balance. It has fruit, tannins, acid, and alcohol and all seamlessly integrated. A delight to drink, savour and pair with simple fare. Tonight lamb stew from scratch. This is very good wine. Sacred? Maybe Ethereal. Burro? More like vigilant and persistent. This is wine.
Opened three hours before drinking (no decant). Deep magenta color. Marigolds, salami, blackberry jam, thyme, and rosemary on the soft, but pleasant nose. Very smooth, dry palate with fine acidity. Full, round tannins on the long finish. This is a fun, unique wine.

Vinturied x2, ripe and ready, full body with enough acid to of set the ripe fruit, delicious. Nothing not to like here, and ready to drink now thru 22. A rebuy.

Decanted 1 hour. Nose is like a young brunello and a Pinot and a splash of Aussie Shiraz. Dark fruits, fresh Moroccan tobacco, eucalyptus, white pepper and ginger. Don’t know if this is typical for the varietal but this is good. Has some acidity and tannin and plenty of fruit to last many more years but good now.

Opened over a weekend after testing with a Coravin. This 100% carignan has a blackberry nose with a hint of menthol. Plenty of dark fruit on the palate with sage and a hint of vanilla. This is a big wine but not overpowering.
After drinking several Bordeaux and Brunellos over the previous weeks this is a pleasant segue of a wine which paired well with chicken cardamom and caramelized onions.
