At Racion: this has a subtle almost sweet impression but is salty; great age character--very dark for a fino; powerful, amazing intensity, with a powder puff creamy sort of texture. Great long finish. Some said this really doesn't count as a fino. But after going to the Romate Old y Plus Amontillado VROS, yes, it does. The best fino I've had to date, but maybe it is a bit outside of it's category.

Velo de flor puro con elegancia extrema, desarrollando ya complejidad de (corta aun) crianza en botella, frutos secos, muy floral...
En boca una botella extraña. Muy fria al inicio pero con falta de punch en boca. Con la temperatura fue mejorando haciendose mas glicerica, acercandose más a la sensaciones que esperabamos.
Aun así, vi algo raro. Intentaré conseguir esta saca de nuevo.

Golden color (darker than many). Smell has a kind of sharp fruitiness on some sniff, but also plenty of evidence of oak aging throughout; and other sniffs, I notice an extreme saltiness and minerality. A little more acidic and full-bodied than the average manzanilla.

A private lunch (Restaurant Santceloni **, Madrid, Spain): Primera Saca de 2013. Pale gold; displays a hint of mature nuttiness next to aromas of sea breeze, white flowers and green olive, lovely depth; bone-dry but not acidic, fresh like a mountain stream, nice hint of olive bitters, good flavours; good length.
