92pts. This was the first time I bought this wine, and it was a very nice surprise. Sourced from vines at 1400m above sea level. It's a complex and very interesting Malbec, with notes of blackberries, some licorice, black cherries, dark chocolate, plum, raspberries, and coffee. Its finish could be a little longer, but for the price this is great.

High pro ratings for this which I don't quite get. A bit of acidic bite that never subsided. At this age, I think we're past the point of waiting for the wine to come together. Drink now, best with food. Which I always take as a warning.

This wine is starting to come together. Black Pepper, tart cherries, cassis, tobacco with acidic finish that lasts for minutes. Give it another year or so.

Good wine, excellent value. White peppery spice mix with purple fruit and violets. Tastes fresh with lip-smacking acidity/minerality. Very light tannins. Drink now.

Blackberry, black pepper, and earth nose with dark, tart cherry, floral notes, and somewhat acidic finish. It seems like it's all over the place right now; another 6-12 months should be perfect.

Medium nose shows blackberry, tart cherry, sweet spice, eucalyptus. Palate gives nice fruit layers, black plum, baking spice, red plum, dried blueberry, juicy acidity, medium tannins, medium alcohol, nicely not overdone with smooth structure, good value.

Classic right bank Bordeaux....in an Argentinian Malbec. Is it French, is it Argentinian, it's both as two winemakers have come together to give you a supple malbec. This is hardly a punch in the face, but a silky whisper. I have three more, luckily!

At first it was a little overwhelming but continued to open up after an hour decant. Great falvours and a dark and juicy wine. Should continue to get better with age

Delicious, young, affordable Argentine Malbec from Winemaker with impeccable provenance. Dark. Blackberry, tobacco nose. Vigorous, dark fruit, spice, cinnamon and a hint of pepper on the palate with smooth, integrated tannins mostly in the background. The fruit is robust but not exuberant. Satin on the palate. Long, delicious finish. Typical of excellent mountain fruit except that the tannins are more restrained. Outstanding by itself but also food friendly. This should age reasonably well (I'm guessing @ 10 years) but I'm not sure I'll ever know. Simply too tempting to delay gratification. At this QPR, this is among the best "daily drinkers" I've ever found. Ditto for the '14 Tapiz Cab. Both are outstanding.

A beautiful Malbec. Fruit and tannins are seamlessly integrated. Excellent companion to grilled T-bone steak.

I enjoyed this more than my previous bottle. But I'm sure it was me not it (them). Good stuff really, glad to have aged it this far.

Still coming along. Getting more refined, and tannins are softening a bit. Fun little wine.

Much darker than the Don Miguel Gascon. Smells like Wheat Thins and sour cream. Also not impressive.

I found this quite attractive, with a toasty mid-palate and some backbone along with some bright fruit. This is a great buy at the price.
