Good. On the nose: vanillla, and strawberry shortcake, watermelon. On the palate, good acidity, slightly coarse mousse, cranberry, strawberry, loads of lemon and lime. Some pepper on the finish.

Hard to understand why I am the only user in CT with the 2013 Shaman Rose? Huh. There were 2 bottles, now there is one. Opened last night for my wife's birthday dinner. Roughly 70% Chard, 30% PN. Disgorged 01/2017, zero dosage. This exhibits a orange/peach color, cool to look at in the glass. On the aromatic, it has what I often find in Benoit's wines, which is a dried herb note. This showed brisk last night, on the razor's edge of austere. Decided to bring the remnants home from dinner and maintain the bubbles as best as possible. It remains firm and focused tonight, with a brisk core of crisp green apple, along with strawberry and watermelon, finishing with a beam of tingly acidity and mineral. Delicious.

Marguet and Marie-Courtin, plus a little Savart and some Still Reds, Too (My House In The South OC): Disgorged 01/17. Zero dosage. 71% Chard / 29% PN. Lots of red fruit, which may sound odd, as the base is mostly Chard (and oddly enough too, the 13 Shaman, which is mostly PN, showed green apple notes to me when we tasted it right next to this Shaman Rose). This shows a really fruit driven, with lots of strawberry forming the core of the palate for me....retasted this morning from the leftover bottle. Creamy red fruit, along with some fresh cut green apple, pear. Some nice saline in the finish and a light biscuity note.

Excellent, and totally hit the spot. Beautiful nose with sweet cranberry, a hint of coffee and guava, and some toast in the background. On the palate, excellent acidity, with lifted cranberry, and a touch of cherry cola toast. Very yummy.

Nose: The nose is balanced with sour red cherries, raspberries, crushed rocks, citrus notes, biscuits, roses, leesy tones, with some almonds and hazelnuts.
Taste: Medium/full bodied with high acidity. The acidity is brisk and refreshing while the feel has excellent texture and depth with sour red cherries, raspberries, crushed rocks, biscuits, hazelnuts, and a touch of oxidative tones.
Overall: This is a killer value rose champagne. This is fresh, but also shows some of the oxidative qualities as well. It’s extremely well balanced with a crispness to the feel and acidity.

On point. Better than the Glavier. Nice nose with pomegranate and meyer lemon. Excellent acidity, and good bubbles. Very clean finish, and excellent bubbles.

Ordered at Pops with Otis and our wives. 2/3 Pinot Noir and 1/3 Chardonnay from around Ambonnay. Very fresh and lively. Notes of strawberries, cream and pomegranite. Solid bead and firm acidity. 91 points.

Like a previous bottle, this was disgorged 03/16. Salmon colored, red fruited aromatics, red fruited palate too that is lithe in weight, with some chalky tones. Finishes with lime, strawberry and raspberry. Showed excellent.

Book Club (FMIII in the OC): Looking at FMIII previous note I'm wondering if this may have been oxidized. It looked and smelled like Pimms Cup, very herbal. Very unique. The fruit profile was like a brandy marinated cherry. Different, odd, and enjoyable.

Grower/Producer Bubbly Event (Todd Frenchie's Place): Dsgrd-03/2016. I have become a fan of Marguet, drinking several bottles of the 12 Shaman, which for value and what's in the bottle is a real success. Salmon colored, tight strawberry flavors that seemed even a bit sappy. Light complexity, really kind of reminds me of a still wine through the tone the bottle showed. Would like to try another soon to see if my perceptions change.

Juicy, precise and flavorful. Lovely creamy initial impact, bu the acidity really focuses the mid-palate. Medium length and full of energy without being too austere.

The bottle last night showed similar to the one last month, with same still wine tones, red fruits and lightly oxidative in style?
