Nice nose, grilled herbs and some sweet oak and baked bread. Nose you want to come back to. Very nice palate leading with pepper and well integrated black fruit along with dark licorice. Medium-high acidity and medium-low tannin. Quite delicious and drinking very nicely now.
Wow, looking at my CT entry, I got this for $27.99 at the local Bottle King when they were running a big special, about 17 months ago. If I could go back in a time machine I would load up the truck. As it is, I would buy a couple more at current retail.

Didn't give it much time after opening but very nice from start onwards. Nose of red berries, cherries and wild strawberries. Still a bit earthy but probably a very nice evolution ahead.

Bright red fruit. Tannic, still earthy, astringent, cedar, spice box, white pepper at the end of the palate. Very young. Decant aggressively now or drink in 5 years.

Pop and pour. Deep ruby color. Grenache red-fruits notes really singing on the nose, with pretty violets and white flowers, as well as some herbaceousness (sage, thyme, etc). Palate is supple with soft tannins, moderate acidity, and well-integrated alcohol. This wine is drinking incredibly well for such a baby, and will continue to do so for at least the next 10 years. I wish I had bought a case of this instead of only 3 bottles.

Bright ruby. Medium minus alcohol. Roasted meat, leather, earth, mixed w light white pepper and dark burnt red fruit on nose. Well balanced as it uses all 13 cdp grapes. Smooth, silky, earthy, dark black cherries, slightly stewed. Still some leather and earth. Can taste burnt vanilla on secondary. Medium plus acidity with medium plus tannin and astringency. 91-92.

2015 Southern Rhône Flight (K&L Wines, San Francisco): Medium ruby. Alcohol and some funk on the nose. Big, chewy, syrupy wine. Licorice, some green, black leaning fruit. Short and tannic, but the good news is that there is less heat apparent on the finish than in most of these other wines.

Juicy kirsch and all that cracked pepper is the first thing you notice. Fresh black raspberries, spice and earth kick in on the palate, where you also find soft, ripe tannins, and a fresh supple textured, berry filled finish. The wine was made blending 70% Grenache, 20% Syrah, 5% Mourvedre and assorted AOC grape varieties make up the remainder of the blend.

Nose of juicy raspberries and cherries with hints of garrigue and toasted oak. Quite full on the palate but not over-done although there is plenty of ripe red fruit and a lovely floral quality. Finishes with that classic dusty, garrigue-infused spice character that makes CDP so unique. Yum but needs a few years to show its best. 91+

This is a solid CDP that is maturing nicely. Great black fruits, fantastic nose with the elusive garrigue.

Needs some time or some air but this is a big, complex, beautiful CdP. Lots of ways to pair good with it…

Continues to improve and develop greater depth, still needs a 3+ hour decant to show its best.

Sep 2017: Tried with grilled pork and veggies. Thought it was still intriguing, but didn't love the barnyard funk as much at home.
Sep 2017 (tasting): Intriguing nose, touch of barnyard. Tartness and tannin on body, but not a ton of structure. Herb-y pork?

Still pretty tight. Needs 2-3 hours or 3-5 years.
