Not rated as we found out that this wine did not drink well with confit de canard. The food totally overwhelmed the wine which came across as shockingly light. Did not impress after dinner - perhaps, hopefully, an off bottle

No detailed notes. Sampled blind alongside the 2015 Evesham Wood Cuvee J. I recall a deep garnet color, a lovely, moderately complex nose that was somewhat ripe (in a good) with beautifully balanced tannin, acidity, and fruit on the palate. This wine was more about grace and balance paired with old vine sappiness when compared to the more rustic but equally good Oregon wine.

DnP. Medium light red, red tinged, 4.5. Complex bouquet, red fruits, minerality pepped up with some rustic notes. Elegant on the palate, low tannin, high acidity, good intensity but staying balanced, long elegant finish. Drink now-2028

Tasting of Bouchard Père Premier and Grand Cru Wines (Beaune, France): Light ruby core, faded edge. More char aromas than the Cuvée Ancienne Carnot. Slightly denser, gamier, and black fruited with a similar touch of orange peel. The finish has a touch of coffee and ripe, chewy tannins. While very enjoyable now, it needs time and is not really meant for early drinking.

Nice bottle, certainly displays the vintage, showing darker fruit vs the red fruited character I normally find here. Nonetheless, vineyard signature is there. Plenty of freshness. Dark cherry, sous bois, mineral cut. Great value as always.

Jeez I enjoyed this. Great Burgundy at a relatively reasonable price and already pretty approachable. Bursting with red berries and dark cherry fruit. There’s almost some plummy jammess. Good acid and length and balance all round. Slurpable.

Burgundy, Rhone, Provence Trip; 9/3/2018-9/15/2018 (Burgundy, Rhone, Provence, France): Light medium red color. PNP, drank a couple glasses over 2 hours plus. Lonny's bottle - and one where he said he snapped up multiples. I can see why, this is honest, open and giving. Quite alluring and feminine, with softer acids, fine silky tannins, pretty red cherry, clove and allspice notes on a medium bodied frame. 91+pts.

2015 Bouchard Père & Fils Dinner (Herrington Inn, Geneva): This is really excellent. Aromas of rose petal, cherry, red berry and baking spices; really aromatic and florally. Softened palate profile, with cherry, rose water and berry fruit. Nice underlying acidity and overall structure; well-balanced. Lengthy finish. As Domino notes, this is very, very pretty. 93 pts for both of us.

Ruby red color. Very primary and young. Red fruit. Juicy cherry inparticular. Soft tannins with a mild acidity. A touch of oak; vanilla and cola. This does have a certain silky elegance, but will it lose the baby fat?

Martinborough top vs Burgundy 1er (Newmarket, Auckland): red/dark berries, fresh and fragrant. linear and delicate palate, smooth and fine tannins, savoury, earthy notes. balanced but less weight and length than other three.
Monopole of Bouchard, thick layer of red clay is not a common soil type in Burgundy, bring more richness than most Beaune 1er crus.

From Coravin. Surprisingly aromatic with vibrant red fruits and rhubarb. Bright acid, sturdy tannins but quite lively already with some nice earthy, sweet floral components. Long time ahead. Excited about the 2015 reds in the long run.

Rather lightweight. Pleasant but hardly outstanding and not VFM. Okay with Christmas turkey

Wow! What a surprise! Wonderfully soft and elegant. Sweet pinot noir fruit. Though to beat at this price range. Unable to find more online. Help!

Thanksgiving wine, initially tough to tell it’s a Burgundy. With air and time the dirt/earth and a little wood comes out.
