Great wine. Crushed rasberry but at this point some more rustic notes starting to come through. The acidity balanced really well with a sushi meal tonight. Less fruit and more rustic, floral notes would have been nice but a great wine and opened up really nicely over the course of 2 hours.

Clean and smooth across the palate. Ruby color. Raspberry and plum fruit, a little bit of sour cherry. Nice mushroom and forest floor on the back end, but short-ish finish.

Received a partial bottle 14.1% abv Thirty-Fifth Anniversary Bottling
Had a sip from a partial bottle received from my Oenophile neighbor. Dark, clear, ruby red in the glass. Delightful aromas and flavors of Cherry, Raspberry, on the nose and palate with spices and some cola. Exceptionally smooth with well-integrated tannins, and just enough acidity for a pleasant lingering finish. An Elegant Wine; Classic Williams Selyem. Spouse Loves - I thought I'd died and gone to Heaven.

Drank this over 3 nights and held up really well. Lush, almost non-existent tannins. Good ripe red fruit, flowers and drank really well with both pork and lamb. Wish I took tasting notes while drinking, but would definitely track down more bottles.

Decanted >2 hours. It has been 2 years since last tasting this vintage. On the nose, muscular red fruit with musky forest floor and mushroom. A small hint of spice. In the mouth, beautiful juice, spice, a slight hint of mushroom and a very little bit of caramel in the finish. I think the Sonoma Coast is under appreciated. In a great drinking window right now.

This bottling is drinking well off a PNP. The profile stayed consistent over the hour that it was consumed: balanced alocohol, red fruit on the nose and palate, and a medium finish. One dimensional but enjoyable. This wine has mellowed substantially from when I tried it two years ago. It’s drinking well now without a decant and likely can go another few years although I don’t see it improving beyond where it is today. QPR at the mid $40s is fair - you are definitely paying a premium for the WS nameplate.

Dynamite. Consistently good, continues to age well. A terrific value. Lots of oak, vanilla, plum, maybe a hint of smoke. Beautiful color. Actually went from bottle to glass and was immediately drinkable. Opened up well over the course of 30 minutes. Really enjoyed it.

Pale ruby color with dead slow glycerin. Nose consisted of safffron, Asian spices, cola nut and earth. Straightforward strawberry, cherry and Indian and Asian spice on the palate. The finish lingers and fades gently with an earthy texture and a nice but uninspired blend of fruit and earth. After a few days under private preserve the wine was still straightforward and ripe with red berry textures and flavors. There was a little cola nut and aged cherry with some earthy components on the finish but I found this wine to be nothing to write home to mama about.

Perfect example of Sonoma Pinot. Sour cherries. Raspberries. Slight tartness. Medium body. I can see this improving with age. Paired perfectly with grilled tomahawk pork chops

Great surprise. Opened and poured and it was full of flavor without being overpowering. Great deep color, lots of fruit, light pepper, a little bit of sage. Perfectly balanced. Love to drink more.

I was worried about drinking this one so young. It did not disappoint. Lots of body in this pinot with layers and nuances. Fruit plentiful, but not to the point of being overwhelming. Earth and herbs also shine through. Even though it is drinking beautifully now, I imagine this will be even better in 3 years. Will revisit in a few years.

Spectacular. I was worried about 2015s, no more. This is textbook WS Sonoma Coast. Medium+ bodied, still somewhat translucent color. Nice bit/hint of oak and creaminess on the palate. Love this, great finish. Great drinking window, lots of life left

Wine of the year tasting for our wine tasting group. This was the only Pinot in the lineup, but my favorite of the 12 wines we tasted. This smells and tastes like Pinot noir. A perfect varietal representation of the grape. Beautiful fruit and spice, with mouth watering acidity. It was excellent with pork tenderloin. Tasted more like a Russian River Pinot then Sonoma Coast.

Grand Cru Pinot (Harbour 220/L15 131 Macquarie Street): Everything I expected, an abundance of ripe red and black Autumnal fruit, a veritable compote if you will, with cream, vanilla and sweet spice. More of the same on the palate but there is still juicy acidity to keep things clean. Fine tannins, quite young but pretty bloody good.

Medium body. Cranberry, cinnamon nose. Classic WS; red fruit with a touch of cola. Restrained fruit with a strong acidity and mid-level tannins. Of course, still very very young. Very juicy.

Tasted at winery; delicious musky and black and sour cherry notes, with a sleek mouth feel. I agree to a large extent with Lforrest's notes, except that I did not find it all that "muscular." I was very impressed with its drink-ability at such a young age, and am glad I am a buyer.

Black cherry, musky herbs, and notes of pomegranate offer a more muscular counterpoint to the elegance of the Russian River Valley bottling. On the brooding nose are elements of smoky minerals and hints of flint add even more complexity. The traditional Sonoma Coastal profile really comes through on the palate with a robust Brazilian coffee complexion to the tannin that feathers out to an elegant minerally finish. Interlaced within this framework are flavors of Bing cherry and bittersweet chocolate. The 2015 Sonoma Coast will offer a very wide window of drinkability due to its sheer density.

good mixed berry with some mineral and a nice acidity that keeps this bright. More length than recent vintages, but it has a pinot profile.
