Deep color, excellent fruity smell, earthy tone, good texture and mid-palate, wish the finish is a bit longer, paired with Gouda and like it, not as good when paired with squids, like the 2011 vintage better, nice everyday wine consider the price.

Odd wine. The first day was not impressive at all. Second day, it started opening and was decent in Reidel cab glass. I wouldn’t buy again, but not bad.

I was positively impressed with the 2014 Privada Proprietary Red Wine, which is 40% Malbec with 30% each of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot from Luján de Cuyo. It fermented in cement vats and matured in French oak barrels (new and second use) for some 12 months on average, as it's bottled throughout the year. It had good color and concentration while keeping balance and subtleness; there are notes of red and black fruit, some herbal aromas and some balsamic hints of incense. The palate shows pungent flavors of violet pastille and sweet spices, nicely textured. Quite attractive. An impressive 530,000 bottles are produced of this wine.

Not sure about this as it is in a strange place right now. It has backbone with no meat in it. Thought this would be a lot better looking at all the reviews. Will wait on the next one to see if it changes but I would lower your expectation.

Dark ruby red in appearance with a beautiful Medoc-like nose of dark red and blue fruits, violets, cedar, tobacco well integrated with rich vanilla cream. The palate is medium full-bodied, unapologetically New World, fairly well-balanced with notes of ripe sweet dark fruits, flowers, vanilla, smoke, forest floor, cedar, black tea and a mild oaky mineral finish. Initially this Argentinian red tasted a bit disjointed and diluted upon opening but became much more intense and rounder after 30 minutes of air. This is very pretty and well made Bordeaux blend for the price.

A blend of Malbec (40%), Cabernet Sauvignon (30%) and Merlot (30%), aged for 16 months in new French barriques. 14,5% alcohol, 1 g/l residual sugar, 4,8 g/l acidity. Tasted blind in VV.
Super-concentrated, completely opaque inky purple, letting no light whatsoever through. The nose is ripe, sweet and toasty with bold aromas of sweet blackcurrants, some heavily toasted wood spice, a little bit of vanilla, a hint of plum compote and a touch of milk chocolate. The wine is very full-bodied, dense and chewy on the palate with dry, extracted flavors of plum compote and blackcurrant jam, stuffy wood spice, some charred oak, a little bit of vanilla and a hint of chokeberry. The alcohol makes the wine feel quite hot and the lack of acidity makes the wine feel dull and lack freshness. The ripe medium tannins offer just some sense of structure with no grip to speak of. The finish is dull, dry and moderately bitter with flavors of coarse wood, ripe plummy fruit, some blackcurrant jam, a hint of mocha and a touch of smoke.
A dull, rough and rather unpleasant monolithic blockbuster lacking any freshness or sense of structure. This feels like over-extracted, anonymous fruit base that is covered with excessive new oak, resulting in an unpleasantly woody, bitter mess. Despite its bitterness the wine really doesn't have any structure, it's just soft and gloopy with alcohol sticking out quite much. I doubt that any time in a cellar will help a wine that is already as unbalanced as this is. Keep away, a rip-off at 18,50€.

This Wine keeps on being a great value. Powerfull mouh feel, high acidity and strong tannins, but manages to be quite silky smooth, seductive. Fruit is perfectly ripe and delicious. Dark fruit driven, but Secondary notes are intriquing enough already; with mocca, espresso, carrigue, christmas spices, toasty oak. Intensive lift in the finish and a long, lingering, a bit earthy aftertaste. Very good!

Ordered off the wine list at The Bicycle Thief in Halifax, Nova Scotia for dinner down on the waterfront with Kerry and the Zatzmans. Fruity on the nose and palate right from the start. Full-bodied and velvety in texture. Added depth and showed more delicious boysenberry and plum fruit throughout the next hour. Displays fine length too. Hardly any toast or mesquite notes, making this quite different than previous vintages. Very Rhone-like. Could almost be mistaken for a good, young Chateauneuf du Pape. Polished and delicious, this is always an excellent value. 50+5+12+16+7=90

Wow, this is a great value concerning its orientation and price. During a full course dinner time, it offered riotous blossom, blueberry, coffee bean and chocolate. The nose being enjoyable, the wine has a light to medium body. Aging in new French oak barrels though, there is not much tannin on the palate and the fruit concentration has its palace. I think no one will leave it too long to fall as a table wine so this is very very good in all.

Good with meats. The Merlot and Cab soften the Malbec and provide nice depth.
