This is what happens when you don't drink something in the appropriate drinking window....bad!! I am a little surprised a 2005 didn't hold up a little better, but part of the process in working down the old bottles in my cellar!

This was a very good Pinot. Expressive flavor (which I like in a Pinot) and not too fruity. It was definitely nearing the end of its life as a good wine. We had a similar bottle a couple of years ago and it had not more complexity.

Popped and poured, typical Pinot color, light ruby with a brown tint, not much bouquet, medium body, flavors evenly distribute in mouth, light tannins, no objectionable aftertaste, everyone liked it, will buy again for $20.

Berries, especially raspberries. Fusel alcohols (even on day 2). Cedar, juniper berries and slight jamminess round out the aroma. Good tannic structure, but still mellow throughout. Creamy, spritzy. Tart Bing cherries and slight wet grass.

Unfortunately improperly stored and temperature variation got the best of this bottle. Heard good things though,,, :(

Did not decant. Light ruby color, standard Pino nose, medium body, fair fruit. Nothing special, a bit thin for my taste but nothing off. Drink now.

Nice nose of ripe cherry, medium body, light alcohol... paired nicely with Coq au Vin.

Floral, tart cherry, a little biting at the finish.

Served with Thanksgiving dinner so no formal notes. Well integrated with cherries on the nose and a bit of a bite on the finish. Would buy again.

Beautiful lighter-bodied, fragrant pinot with pure berry flavors. Awesome for the price.
