Mainly Meursaults: Haven't had many Girardin whites but have heard good things, and this was a fine example. Clearly some oak use but wasn't distracting. Very good old-school Burg white, rich and buttery with hazelnuts, but not overdone in any way despite not having the enamel-stripping acidity that some of the new-school producers have.

From glass. Nose at first dairy but clean, later lemon more forward. On palate, freshness and length of acidity, some intensity of pleasant lemon and chalky flavors...but pretty simple. Towards the end of the glass, also some attractive hints of butter, green olive. Hmm. Hold if you've got it, I guess.
