More than 3 years since I had this particular vintage and I was afraid it may be over the hill. Pale yellow colour. Forward yellow plum, gooseberry and lemon with some grassy notes. More advanced than the recently tasted 2018, but still intriguing. Palate focused, balanced. Good finish. This may be slightly past its prime, but still very enjoyable.

Drank over three days. Lime, gooseberry and mineral notes, quite forward by the third day. Palate’s balanced between fruit sweetness and the typical Arneis acidity; more viscosity that expected leading to a long balanced finish. I like this wine with some age on it.

Straits Wines - Vietti Wine Tasting (La Brasserie, Fullerton Bay Hotel): pale lemon; pronounced nose, acidic, light bodied, bit of alcohol burn, good length, with lime flower, rose, apple, peach, lemon, bit of carrot, morning dew, fresh grass, minerals, limestone; like how refreshing it is but could do with a bit less heat, highly recommended to chill

Quite good. This wine has bright lemon-lime acidity with a sense of salinity to boot. It's aromatically complex, showing peach and green herbs. I could see myself guessing grüner veltliner in a blind tasting. This would be great for pairing with foods -- a zesty salad perhaps?

Summer in a glass. Bright, acid driven citrus and almond notes on the nose and palate, with just enough residual sugar to complement several savory seafood dishes (grilled octopus, risotto, Dover sole, branzino). Restaurant purchase. Served chilled just right. Will buy more.

On the nose there notes of citrus and grass, on the palate, I found notes of lemon, almond and secondary notes of vanilla and wet rocks, the finish had an almond bitter paste taste to it, alcohol tasted high. Drink now

Good wine. It smells more like plumper Rhone varietals than steelier varietals like chardonnay, riesling, and sauvignon blanc. It offers aromas of yellow flowers, almonds, and pears. It is fairly big in body but has a persistent lemon note. The finish, like so many Italian white wines, has a distinct bitterness.

Possibly spritz-y on opening. Predominantly lemon front the start, with a nice roasted green pear finish. Touch of salinity. Good wine though a bit too much acid for my tastes.
Love the crazy vine hair label that an American producer would feel is too creepy.

Floral nose with notes of minerals and citrus. Very nice acidity with saline notes on the palate followed by meyer lemon. Nice finish. Although I wasn’t able to compare side by side, I think this wine is better than the 2016 Bruno Giacosa Roero Arneis I had twice in the last couple of weeks. Fantastic QPR! 91-92

Coravin 3/22/18. Greenish-yellow pale color; nose is aromatic, minerals, citrus fruit; palate is medium bodied, dry, medium to medium-plus acidity, waxy lemon, medium alcohol but shows a tad bit of heat (13.5%); medium finish. Fresh, interesting, a value at the price, but I might still prefer some other whites at not that much more (Vouvray, etc). 87-88 Retaste with the rest of the bottle: Very similar to when first opened. Nice, fresh, minerally white, but a step down in complexity from the Bruno Giacosa Arneis. 87

Served to me blind. A very good Arneis. Light coloured. An attractive bouquet of baking spices, citrus, pear, baked apple, minerals and yeast. Good interest on palate. Lemons, pear, herbs and walnut oil. The honeyed sweetness nicely balanced by the acidity and slatey minerals and a tad of salinity.

Taste: Light bodied with high acidity. The acidity really cuts and is quite refreshing. The feel is light and crystalline with lemon peels, mineral notes, white fruits, and some pears.
Overall: This is an excellent Arneis. It shows off the linear quality that the grape provides, but with real freshness to the tones as well.

2008 Piedmont at Osteria Langhe (Chicago, IL): The nose shows a really pleasant floral tone, as well as some sweet fruit. The palate is light and crisp, and much more approachable than Giacosa's rendition of this grape. More airy and higher-toned, with just a very slight touch of sweetness. This has really good acidity, and there's a minerality here that reminds me of riesling.

Full, forward & attractive nose of ripe citrus fruit aromas of lemons/limes, melon & some peach with overtones of floral notes of honeysuckle, stony, minerals & a touch of spritz in the background. The Arneis grape was nearly extinct 50 years ago with only 4 000 vines spread over northern Italy. Vietti was one of the producers trying to save the variety. Fruity calm nose with hints of pineapple and asparagus. Medium body, soft fruit, almond finish. Fermented in steel tanks.
