Sorry everyone, I just didn't like this SB. First tasted at a comparison tasting, alongside a Dry Riesling and a Kiwi Chardonnay. Out of the three I found this to be bitter and somewhat unplesant. Maybe it just isn't to my liking as a style, but follow up tatsing and drinking on its own, still didn't endear me to it. The aroma was in itself off-putting, still trying to put my finger on what it reminded me off, certainly not other SB's I have sniffed & tasted.
I recognised grapefruit and possibly hints of lime behind the acid on my palate, and while I wouldn't throw it away, it did very little for me, and not something I will be seeking out again. Not trying to appear hard, and everyone has their own taste favourites, this one just wasn't mine.

Nose of lemon/lime, and citrus with a hint of grapefruit and grass, more of the same on the palate, medium body, tasty, fairly mouth filling, showing well today, needs near term ageing to peak drinking in six months or a one hour decant, better at room temperature than fully chilled, and a medium/long finish.

Nose of grapefruit, lemon/lime, touch of mowed lawn, and citrus salad, more of the same on the palate, medium body, tasty, fruit forward, grapefruit nose and taste is slowly lessening as this wine ages, about six months away from peak drinking, tasty with roasted chicken over a six vegetable salad, and a medium/long finish. This wine is usually available at Silver Oak Cellars on Release Day at a nice price.

Pale straw. Aromas of gooseberry, grass, underripe melon and touch of pineapple. Well rounded on the palate, texture and acidity are nicely balanced. However, the downfall here is the finish. It’s short and bitter. All in all not bad, but very average for Napa SB.

The wine looks straw colored. The legs are fast. There is no sediment in the bottle. The wine is very crisp on the nose. It smells like grapefruit, lemon, lime, apple and pear. It tastes like grapefruit, pear and peach. The body is medium. The wine has polished texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has medium acidity.

Tasted 3 times over 3 hours at the Silver Oak Release Day Party, nose of lemon/lime, pitted fruit, dusty shale, and a hint of grapefruit, same on the palate, medium body, tasty, good acid, better if cellared 6 months, silky and smooth on the palate, twist off top and clever packaging add to its look, and a medium/long finish, better expression than the 2015 at this time in its life.

P: Med body; Almost swtish frt met by balancing acidity; Fairly LONG, tangy/swt finish with a TOUCH of toast? Nicely done! 14.3% ABV. [Though likely no longer avail, this vendor's $19.99 was at least $2 < anyone else in wine-searcher's April 2018 listings.]

Peach, guava, tropical. Mild acidity. More complex than most SBs, more like Sancerre. Complex middle flavor. Very subtle oak

More nuanced after the Shirtail 2016 SB, modest mineral component. Very nice balance. Not tropical, very nice CA SB.
