Decanted for 8 hours, this Medoc opened up nicely, yielding a smooth blend of tobacco, leather, and pencil shavings. In the glass, it poured delightfully, exhibiting a velvety ruby color. It was a perfect pairing with grilled lamb chops, and proved an excellent accompaniment to the cheese course at the end.

Appearance- Dark ruby, not transparent. Medium+ viscosity. On the nose- Strong currant smell, cloves as well. Palate- Currant and blackberry, perhaps some vanilla. Earthy like an Oregon Pinot Noir Finish- Very smooth astringency. Silky texture. Flavor profile is long lasting and never develops a bitter aftertaste.
The flavors don't interest me as much, and I think I'm missing some subtle flavors, but this is a good wine.

Very good. Notes of dark fruit and black licorice are very well-balanced. The wine impresses on the nose but really impresses on the palate. Paired with dry-aged steak and it was fabulous.

Bought at Monop in a half-bottle for 7.50€. W20W nailed it; very precise blackcurrant and earthiness, but not much else. Lots of surprisingly fine tannin, a good lift, and a pretty good length. This punches above its weight in this vintage, and only lacks more complexity to warrant a higher score. Ready to go today and good for another 4-5 years in half-bottles. Good value. 89-90

Mildly floral nose with hint of vanilla. Full bodied with light acid contrasting dense blackberry, licorice with firm but not unpleasant tannic structure. I good value which will age well.

Pretty nose, but subtle. Violets and other floral notes, undertone of black fruit. Burst of fruit on first taste, that finishes with currant and black licorice. Very nice. Simple but quite tasty. Definitely classic Bordeaux. And at $20 might be best Bordeaux value I can recall.

Decanted for almost 2 hours. Aromas of lead pencil, plum, cherry and hint of charcoal. Flavors of smoke, blackberry, cherry and kiss of vanilla. Ends with a 15 second finish with blackberry and earth notes. Interesting wine that gives the 2009 a run for it's money.

Fantastic Bordeaux from Medoc with a deep garnet hue. Opens with an earthy nose of grilled plum, saddle leather, oak and mocha. The palate is well-balanced with moderate acidity, a plush mouthfeel and dusty tannins that mellow nicely with decanting. Tasting notes of blackberry, plum, cinnamon, clove and a spicy black pepper finish.

14.5% alc. Lots of new oak, was better integrated after the bottle sat open overnight at 60 degrees. Good wine, but lacks the old school character I was expecting from this chateau.

Good warm spice note to it. And palate is good structure and density, and long finish. Good now but I betcha it will go farther.

Good entry level BDX. Firm tannins, nice fruit expression. Would score higher if oak treatment wasn't so pronounced.

Served by the glass. A strong, intense, monolithic and mature wine, both on the nose and on the palate. I get bored at the second sip.
Servido por copas. Un vino rotundo, intenso, monolítico y maduro, tanto en nariz cómo al paladar. Me aburre al segundo sorbo.

Excellent QPR. Drinks well now and it will probably benefit from a few more years in the bottle.
