I was surprised that this wine is not more fruit-forward. It is smooth and easy to drink, but it took a lot of coaxing to find a layer of blackberry and other dark fruit. Acidity is moderate but noticeable, and tannins are mild to medium. Overall it is more savory than sweet, and it could stand to be more lively, but it is solid.

Mossy Earth / tea leaves on the nose. Inky purple color. Plum, and cherry fruit forward flavors. Soft on the mid palate. Not much minerality or acidity.
Easy drinking, but not a stunner.

Fermented and aged mostly in concrete, with 10% aged in used French barrels. Plummy with black and red cherry aromas from the cork. The medium+ intensity nose is pretty and ripe with blackberry and black plum aromas, with touches of floral, mineral, tea leaf, and herbs. It is medium-full bodied and clean with nice aroma replays and very good fruit expression on the palate. Ripe tannins are smooth and well-integrated. Nicely textured with some chalkiness. It has good acidity and a juicy mid-palate. Very good finish length. Drink over the next 1-2 years.

A: Medium to deep purple N: Black cherry, blueberry, dusty dark chocolate....a lot of this, purple flowers_Primaries. Youthful and medium (+) intensity P: Aromas confirmed. Dry, medium (+) acid, medium (+) tannin, full body, medium intensity, medium (+) finish and alcohol (13.5%). C: I would drink within the next 5 years and so drink now. I think this has 2.5 ticks for BLIC and so Good to Very Good Quality
GUESSES: This was Malbec for me right out of the starting gate. It was very inky purple and had that dark dusty chocolate. I still don't get the meaty scent that DG said that he associated with Malbecs.

this is tracking along just beautifully, full body rich dark berry flavours and some great tanins
I think this will keep for another 3 to 5 years

This wine disappeared as soon as I opened it for a party. And I wanted more.

Plums, floral, palate is silky and fresh. Fruit forward, no noticeable oak. Acidity is high...definitely a food wine, but not out of balance.

lacking in structure and tannins, but easy drinking fruit forward with latent spice backbone. Better on first night even with gas.

Lots of stiff kinda cranberry fruit, very fresh, but really, does anyone want fresh, concrete malbec? Maybe so. Maybe not.
