This blend of 75% Sangiovese and 25% Merlot has really come into its own. It absolutely rocks. Deep black fruits, brined black olives, mezmorizing tobo, plum, mint, cherry, licorice, rhubarb and vanilla. Acidity that plays well with food while weaving a tight fabric with the tannins. The mouthfeel is wonderful, but the wine is still somewhat on the tight side. This could go for years more. 15% alc. With pan seared pork loin in a wine-balsamic reduction. Highly Recommended.

This blend of 75% Sangiovese and 25% Merlot throws a color of purple in the core and burgundy - deep burgundy - on the rim. Wow! on the nose with plum, cherry, vanilla and cocoa. A warm tobo element grows in the background. Delightful! The wine is not at all “hot” but it has a warmth about it that is pleasing. Good acidity balances the fruit on the attack and plays tag with the tannins. Good depth on the palate. 15% alc. With grilled pork chops covered with gorgonzola and a plum, onion and walnut chutney. Recommended, but leaning to Highly Recommended.

A deep, yet bright red color somewhere between dark ruby and candy apple. If the color was eye catching, the nose was stunning with ripe, red cherries, plum, earth, raspberries and strawberries. This blend of 75% Sangio and 25% Merlot just kept going on and on. Round, soft and full on the palate with mounds of fruit from attack to finish. Despite the softness of the wine, this has loads of life left in front of it. The balance of this wine is stunning. It was an instant crowd pleaser. Very little sediment at all. 15% alc. With open faced sandwiches of London broil (beef), arugula and shaved Parmesan. Highly Recommended. With the Smileys and Dods while viewing pics from Italy.

This wine definitely has a slightly effervescent quality to it when it hits your tongue, similar to many reds from Italy. It is a very pleasant wine that is drinking well now. Lots of ripe fruit with a smooth finish. Very easy drinking red for the hot summer months.

Decanted for an hour. The bottle I had was still very primary. Sour bing cherry being the most prominent flavor. The sangiovese seemed to dominate at the time, and I was waiting for the merlot component to kick in. Day 2: Blechh! Day 3: It has put on some weight, and ripe fruit and smoother finish arrived just in time for me to polish off the bottle. Sadly, only a 1/4 was left. Pity...

This was an enjoyable, juicy wine. We decanted for about 2+hrs and then brought it out to a pizza place. Red fruits, med tannins, nice nose. Went great with the pizzas. More complex and enjoyable then a typical chianti. I will buy again.

Garnet color, smells like spice and black cherry. The first taste is delicious with pepper, leather and oak, leaving a spicy finish. The fruit emerges after a few more sips: cherry and plums. The balance between sangiovese (75%) and merlot (25%) works beautifully, with the merlot adding just the right amount of muscle. This wine is meant for drinking, not cellaring.

an absolutely massive sangiovese, like many central itallian varietans doen't taste much like a sangiovese but still taste quite good.

Nice zing and structure. The merlot seems a bit heavy handed but on a whole a very nice and interesting bottle.

Sort of dried fruit nose. Very ripe, lots of tart cherry fruit, grip. Different and quite interesting, a wine that shakes you up a little.
