This blend of 75% Sangiovese and 25% Merlot has really come into its own. It absolutely rocks. Deep black fruits, brined black olives, mezmorizing tobo, plum, mint, cherry, licorice, rhubarb and vanilla. Acidity that plays well with food while weaving a tight fabric with the tannins. The mouthfeel is wonderful, but the wine is still somewhat on the tight side. This could go for years more. 15% alc. With pan seared pork loin in a wine-balsamic reduction. Highly Recommended.

This blend of 75% Sangiovese and 25% Merlot throws a color of purple in the core and burgundy - deep burgundy - on the rim. Wow! on the nose with plum, cherry, vanilla and cocoa. A warm tobo element grows in the background. Delightful! The wine is not at all “hot” but it has a warmth about it that is pleasing. Good acidity balances the fruit on the attack and plays tag with the tannins. Good depth on the palate. 15% alc. With grilled pork chops covered with gorgonzola and a plum, onion and walnut chutney. Recommended, but leaning to Highly Recommended.

an absolutely massive sangiovese, like many central itallian varietans doen't taste much like a sangiovese but still taste quite good.

Nice zing and structure. The merlot seems a bit heavy handed but on a whole a very nice and interesting bottle.
