14.4% abv. Dark ruby, expressive aromatics. Ripe plum, lots of black pepper, floral overtones and mint. Obviously deep and rich, but not ponderous, almost refreshing in a way. This wine is drinking well now and for the foreseeable future.

14.4% abv. Dark ruby, very aromatic. Ripe plum, black pepper, mint and a floral note on the palate. Very deep, rich and intense as expected, but light on its feet and not at all ponderous. Exceptional balance. Great now, and will no doubt improve for sometime. A very distinguished Petite.

This was powerful, inky and jammy. I love a petite Syrah that is bold and this sure fits the bill. With it’s beautiful color, it is full of blackberry & cherry up front. The middle brings some pepper and bramble and it has a nice long finish. Great bottle of petite syrah!!!

This bottle was classic PS and held up well over two days. A bit bigger, lively and flavorful on 1st day but nicely balanced, smooth and nuanced on 2nd day. All the normal PS flavors, nice fruit driven nose and medium length finish. Well done.

Spicy, big black fruit totally fill your mouth with flavors. This is not a subtle, gentle wine but a full on, well balanced, flavor assault on your palate. It has a good pepper component to the spice, medium tannins, a velvety mouthfeel and a really long spicy finish.

Cherry cola and blackberry jam aromas on the nose. On the palate, a succession of bramble fruit flavors around a juicy blackberry core with inviting hints of blueberry. while it’s entirely food friendly, this is a solitary sipping, fireplace wine with an extended off-dry finish. 94 points.

All head-trained, dry-farmed and organic, this Petite Syrah vineyard is one of the most exceptional sites in California. The wine is powerful and inky in its youth, and becomes more feminine and refined with age. She is likely to outlive us all. Dense, graceful, and impeccably well-integrated. Dark fruit, lovely acidity, sublime texture and gravel tannins all work in tandem with one another.

Tabacco, leather, and an overwhelming black pepper taste.
