This followed a ‘13 Carter BTK and yet held its own. Young? Yes. Delicious in its own way? Absolutely! Tannins resolved and complimentary, yet surprisingly some oak in play trying to impede the fruit. That being said, it was a first world problem, this was really good from a 375. Red and black fruited, quite balanced, buy 375s if you find ‘em while those 750s slumber.

Big, inky purple, dense ripe fruit, but actually surprisingly elegant and balanced. I was expecting this might be a bit over the top after seeing the color, but there are quite fine tannins on the finish and the structure holds the wine together nicely. Very good.

Tar, burnt rubber, ash, black currant, dark plum, shaved pencil, vanilla turning into toffee, forest floor, moist bark. Delicious fruit on the palate, super intense busting blackberries but with a savoury umami component of animal fat. Very dense in the mid-palate. Components aren't integrated as yet but each of them is sensational. The finish almost rains on your palate. Wow.
Sweet blackcurrants, dark plum, cola Graphite pencils/wood box, Tar/burnt rubber Coconut, toffee, spice Woody herb: rosemary? Bark? Saline?
Dry - sweet fruit, vanilla, green character High fine tannins Full body but nimble Med+ acid Med+ alc - very well balanced. (Actually 14.5!) Med+ finish
Excellent. Keeps evolving in glass, 3 hour decant.
From a 375, PnP with a decant. Vanilla, crushed blueberries, blueberry cream pie, cigar box, bramble brush. No rough edges, long finish, inky, viscous, great tannin management here, hint of bubble gum on a long finish. Easy 100 WA in 5 years.
The aromatics on this wine are staggering. Lavender, currant, cigar, blackberry jam, touch of sage. I’m shocked how smooth and balanced this is. Very well done.

Gorgeous. Far more integrated than the '17's. Big fruit but still elegant. Spicy vanilla oak.
