Pop and pour, shimmery red body. Nose has raspberry fruit and leaf, cherry, cocoa powder, orange peel. Nice lighter weight to discern the smooth berry fruit. Has leafy, green peppercorn drying element but not more tannin. Very easy to drink, abv seems average to low. Excellent wine. Held its own with beef stew but I think would be better with lighter nuanced flavors like duck.

What a beautiful wine. Bordeaux in California. Feminine with gorgeous dark fruits beautifully balanced and very long on the palate. Not too much alcohol or overly extracted like so many big scoring CA wines. Bravo

Napa Bordeaux-Style blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (74%), Merlot (10%), Malbec (7%), Cabernet Franc (5%) and Petite Verdot (4%). Deep red/purple color. Aromas of black berry/plum, coffee, smoky oak and black strap molasses. Palate is rich and full of black and blue fruit, toasted nuts, black licorice and baking spices. Nice vanilla component on the finish. Lovely silky structure, texture and tannins. Quite complex but very well balanced and easy to drink.

full-bodied, elegant wine with a deep ruby color. The nose is dominated by black fruits, such as blackberries, plums, and currants, with hints of chocolate, coffee, and cedar. The palate is rich and complex, with flavors of black fruits, dark chocolate, tobacco, and spice. The tannins are firm but well-integrated, and the wine finishes with a long, lingering aftertaste.

Wow, what a pleasant surprise at this price range. Def has some earthy notes which is a nice change from a lot of very fruit forwards cabs in this range. Will be buying more of this.

Pop n pour it was fresh and ready to drink but let is sit for about 2-3 hours in a decanter. Polished tanins, integrated acid to lift up some plum, mocha, black cherry.

Very nice rich and complex Bordeaux blend. Deep ruby in the glass.
Subtler than the traditional, powerful Californian Cabernets. Slightly earthy and mushroom with a core of blackberry and black plum and subtle oak notes of brand new belt leather, tobacco and chocolate.
Beautiful on the palate with silky, medium tannins and well balanced medium acidity. Alcohol is nicely integrated, only to improve over the next few years.
Exceptionally long finish.
Drinking well now but will develop to 2030.

One of the best Elu's I have tasted and I have tasted many vintages.
Opened and decanted for 30 minutes. Dark purple with aromas of black currant, black fruits and hints of cigar box, just intoxicating!
The palate is smooth and layered with black fruits, leather, cigar box, hints of chocolate and vanilla. This was more complex than previous vintages and each layer presented itself flawlessly.
Paired with short ribs and potato's, an outstanding experience.
Supremely delicious. Loads of black fruits erupting from glass and on palate. Sweet tobacco, mocha and menthol notes. Fine dusty tannins with great finish.

A delicious Bordeaux blend style wine from a renowned California vineyard. This wine tasted surprisingly mature for its age. The fruit was subdued, but the overall structure was excellent. Fairly long finish, balanced tannins and acidity, and a complex mouth-filling taste. Drunk with steak and potatoes Anna, it was great, but even better with the cheese course. The two of us drank nearly a whole bottle, unusually for us. The wine looks purple colored. The legs are medium. There is light sediment in the bottle. It smells like toast and prune. It tastes like forest floor. The body is medium/full. The wine has round texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has medium acidity.

St Supery Visit (Napa, CA): Combines estate and Dollarhide fruit; 74 CS, 10 Merlot, 5 CF, 4 PV; more taut on the nose combining floral notes and sweet fruit, cedar and herbs; mix of red and dark fruit, structured but fresher acids, very French in style.

While I thought this was good I think it is overpriced and perhaps not in my palate wheelhouse based on other ratings.
