Based on the many relatively negative tasting notes, I went in apprehensively with lowered expectations, but I quite enjoyed this. While clearly on the lighter side due to the unusually low ABV, I found this quite fresh, with a good depth of flavor and complexity that belied the low ABV.

Presents a slight strawberry note upfront, leading into a palate that is surprisingly thin and lacks richness. Despite its deep red appearance, which suggests a potentially lush and rich strawberry profile, it falls short of expectations in depth and complexity. The finish is brief, leaving one longing for more substance. Based on its current profile, this wine is best enjoyed now, as it does not show promise for further aging or improvement.

the most disappointing bottle out of 6. Didn't seem corked or flawed, but not showing as well as previous bottles. Strawberry, raspberry, cinnamon, cranberry and floral aromas. Strawberry cranberry, floral and spice flavors, but the flavors and aromas seemed muted. Much shorter finish than the other bottles. Not bad, but not as good as the other bottles, just seemed flat.

I opened a bottle of this a few days ago and found it to be thin, light, and lifeless. The color, too, was rather light. I wondered if it might be flawed in some way, so I opened a second bottle. Again, not impressed at all. Either the 2016 is a weak wine/vintage or I just do not appreciate Kutch pinots (although I did have on a year or so ago that I thought was decent). Anyway, very disappointing.
To ease my pain, I opened a 2015 Copain 'Kiser' En Haute. Now, THAT was excellent.

Opened, poured and let sit about 1/2 hr. Then: Pretty much the same as my 5/13/2023 note. A little floral taste/aroma would be OK, but this is basically all there is and pretty monotone. The relatively short finish doesn't help either. My last bottle of this and that's OK.

Bright cherry and red raspberry fruit, and lots of it. Others noted the floral aroma--it definitely has the cherry bloom to go with the fruit. A little acidic on the finish, but most of that mellowed after several minutes. This is a great summer Pinot, but lacks some complexity.
5/4/2023 Pretty much the same observations as last month. Definitely better after being open an hour.

PnP. Needed a littel time to open and show well. Medium ruby red. Strawberry, raspberry, cinnamon, cranberry and floral aromas. Strawberry cranberry, floral and spice flavors. Well balanced with a smooth finish.

Opened, poured and let sit about 1/2 hr. Then: Nose hard to describe; not typical Sonoma pinot. Taste is also very different. No usual spice or red fruit; instead, almost flowery/floral. Mouthfeel is very soft, no tannins, not tart, minimal, if any, acidity, not much finish. Pleasant to drink, but not really recognizable as Cali pinot. Not sure what to make of this; off bottle? If this is what it is supposed to taste like, I would not wait longer to drink.

Wow! Fantastisk Pinot. Silkemyk, balansert, lang deilig ettersmak. Bringebær, tyttebær litt vanilje. En av mine favorittviner. Og kun 11,3% alkohol. Eksepsjonell vin og opplevelse.
Wow! Fantastic Pinot. Silky soft, balanced, long delicious aftertaste. Raspberries, lingonberry, a little vanilla. One of my all time favorite wines. And only 11.3% alcohol. Exceptional wine and experience.

Was looking forward something low alcohol since I needed to work after dinner so I figured a kutch was a good bet. Randomly picked this bottle and saw it started with an 11 so good to go. This came across to me like a tart pomegranate seed that bursts with acidity. I really liked that attack and found this overall a pretty nice experience. Tried a bit the next day and didn’t think it held up particularly well as just seemed muted and missing the initial attack. Inclined to say drink sooner than later because of that but probably holds where it is for a while. What do I know though.

Final bottle. Decided to drink this based on my last experience and also to find something in the lower ABV range. This has made me pause every time I have opened one of these.....11.3% ABV. Seems very low, yet the flavors are not short here nor is the wine weak or thin. This is juicy and cedary at the same time, with strawberry and blueberry, both that have a tangy edge from the acidity. These is a rusticity to this bottle, connected I'd think to the whole cluster that seasons the wine nicely. The rustic, cedary quality fools the palate that this is a more aged wine. It's clearly not and I continue to think this should be an early drinker. I just don't see how this could get better with age, and it's unique, total flavor expression.

3rd bottle to date, and the first one of those that I have sampled with some time to think about the wine more closely. I forgot too how low the listed ABV is on this wine--11.3%. That kind of alcohol should be kind to my body, which is less and less tolerant of alcohol these days. But, will the wine show a difference in tone/experience because of it? The aromatics give me an impression for a mix of rose and perfume, with a light whiff of whole cluster. The palate on this has some interesting nuances, showing a creamy kind of note, mixed with a strawberry and raspberry, both that have a fresh, pure quality to them. The weight here is solidly medium, with nothing heavy anywhere to be found, and for sure no dark berry notes. Finishes with some light to moderate acidity...retasting from the bottle leftovers from yesterday, this picked up some blue fruit, along with some light structure that brings some cedary tannin with it. In total, this drinks with a juicy, plump texture, with some decent structure to give it some coil. I'll finish my other bottle in the next 24 months, as I do think this vintage of Bohan is built better to enjoy now.

Quite disjointed. Has tart notes of cranberry with a bit of spice and dark berry as well, but the acidity is prominent, and a stemmy character predominates. Not much body at current time.
Would leave these alone for a good few years. Will see if it comes into balance.

Still developing at this point, with the acid leading the way. An element of stems here although I don’t know if whole clusters were used. Somewhat out of balance currently, but it should come together with time.
On the nose we have raspberries and white pepper. On the palate, the acid leads the way, followed by fruit and earth and the gentlest fine tannin.
Wait 6 months before coming back.

Falltacular 2018--some TNs (My House In The South OC): Labeled at 11.3% ABV. I opened this about 30 mins ago, it has been sitting in the glass breathing. This is light, elegant. Can taste the minerality here. Light in the glass, a rose colored hue. Cherry, raspberry, both subtle. This is an elegant PN drinkers wine. Lovely.

California Vacation (Sonoma, SF, Monterey); 8/5/2017-8/12/2017: Tasted at winery. Recently bottled. Sour red cherry, some spice. Sharp acids overpower pretty much everything else right now. This would likely be excellent with food and there is some pretty red fruit peeking out.
Tasted from a tank sample, this is the final blend, which was just built and was being readied for bottling. This shows juicy, with black cherry, lots of red cherry and a nice structure underpinning the wine.
