Yuck! Over extracted mess. One sip and all you can taste is the fake oak chips as if they were floating in the glass. Life is too short. Down the drain it went.

The cork had a crack and had obviously been leaking through, but only a miniscule amount. The wine wasn't oxidized, but I have to believe it was still compromised. I'll give this one another shot in the future, but after the second glass from this bottle, all I could taste was the big fruit and nothing else spectacular.

92 - Nose - woodland, greenery, wet bark, decaying leaves, strawberry. Palate - blackberry, then dry, medium - acidity, medium - tannins, plum, chocolate, and bitter sweet cracked pepper. Moderately long finish with plum and blackberry.

★★★★ Un véritable freak show!

A nose of some dark fruits and spice, dark garnet in color. A medium to full bodied red, with black cherry, plum, some chocolate with a bit disjointed spiced finish. www.winelx.com

Mixed feelings here. WmMcCone54 suggested "If you like Cabernet Sauvignon that is way over extracted, extremely ripe, highly alcoholic, unbalanced and very confected, then this is your wine." I have to agree with him, though I do enjoy wines similar to this.
It's a little thin, not much on the nose, lots of sweet red fruit, barely noticeable tannin, but I don't enjoy the candy notes. This is a good quaffing wine and would be popular at parties with folk who aren't big fans of red wine. I prefer wines that are approachable, like this, to wines that are nasty, and it's easy to find red wine that cost $50 to $100 and is bitter and nasty.
It tastes nicer with steak than on its own. But ultimately, it's all about price. In New York this will cost anywhere between $14 and $23. and it's blown away by the Juan Gil Monstrell (silver label, 2015, $13.59).
This is a fine quaffing wine - but I'd like to try some of the better Michael-David wines.

BTG restaurant purchase. If you like Cabernet Sauvignon that is way over extracted, extremely ripe, highly alcoholic, unbalanced and very confected, then this is your wine! A complete pass for me.

Good stuff! Dark, inky color with a berry-scented nose. Lashings of dark fruit, supported by a fair dose of oak and firm tannins. Soft mouthfeel, fruit maybe a bit over the top, but well-balanced and tasty, good depth and some complex flavors on the finish. Could use a tad more acidity, but very solid wine. What Cali Cab should taste like.

Very intense aromas of vanilla, smoke, dried black fruits, and Cocoa. All of which are replicated on the palate with some cedar, and chocolate.

Good, straight forward cab. Almost a year in cellar was positive compared to previous bottle.

Such an easy “ok, let’s have a bottle” wine. One of the best value cabs. Oaky with a little blackberry and spice. Smooth and very pleasant finish.

Gave this away to Glen and Denise for a Yule gift. They gave us a bottle of Seven Falls 2013 Merlot.

Artificially sweet, jammy syrup concoction. Pleasant cherry flavors stand out, but then give way to a cough syrup astringency.

Improved with air time.
