Still a very fine wine after all of these years. Almost smoky in flavor with smooth tannins and a long finish. Last of a case, written with great sadness

Must have at least an hour to decant/breathe. Plums and prunes with complex mineral notes. Long finish. Tremendous depth shows how good Petite Sirah can be.

85pts is a harsh/thoughtless rating for this wine. This is the kind of wine that you either love or don't really understand what the winemaker is trying to accomplish. It's a massive, new world wine- and for this style, it doesn't get much better.

Basicly poped and poured. Should have decanted for at least and hour or more. This wine is very hot (16.2%) so I wasn't able to pick up much on the nose. Very earthy elements. Flavors are heavy drak chocolate and smoky cedar. Still very tannic. Needs some more time.
