Expressive nose, Red cherry fruit, nice texture, sweet tannins balanced with a high level of acidity. Not very complex or long but just a textbook Barbera of a legendary producer

Excellent single vineyard Barbera d'Alba from Conca Tre Pile in Bussia by famous winemaker Aldo Conterno. Lovely full bodied, structured and aromatic red, with notes of blackberry, cherry, vanilla and oak. Powerful though still retaining a nice subtle elegance to it with enough acidity and tannic structure in there as well. Not a hard wine to love :)

Drank over two nights and found quite enjoyable, if it a bit overpriced due to producer. Deep, dark red, nose of dark berries, oak, spice and a hint of rose; palate is full-bodied, dusty red cherry, orange rind/peel, cocoa, balanced by Barbera acidity, and a fine, smooth finish. Needed just an hour decant to start showing.

Pretty expressive and perfumed, with notes of black fruit, smoke, also some dried red fruit, sweet spices and a touch of dark chocolate. It‘s medium-full bodied but is clipping a little on the mid-palate, has pretty high acidity and medium-lower acidity. Medium length. A pleasant Barbera that combines the rich housestyle with nice freshness, but also the difficult vintage is coming through a little.

fragrant, showing bottle evolution. Medium body, solid structure, refreshing. Rebuy.

Savoury mature style, though with tart acid, and yet some stylish oak. Yes not easy to sum up.
I suspect this was a vintage with rain? But a good producer?

Amazing truffle aroma, not a typical barbera, it’s quite big for a barbera, has tannin, but not a lot acid.
