Loads of dark fruit, tobacco on the nose. Smooth and balanced. A little bit tart. Shorter finish than I’d expect - maybe because it’s close to the end of its best maturity period.

14.5% alcohol; 45 mm composite cork with an aroma of cork, dates, figs, maybe Manuka honey, a maximum of 5 mm wine penetration; light to medium weight foil; medium legs, inky purple; opened, vinturied and tasted 15 minutes later at approximately 14 degrees C; fruit-forward nose of dates, figs, kiwi, immersed in alcohol; medium bodied, 3 months of aging in Bourbon whiskey barrels has not overwhelmed the original Cab flavor, but rather has contributed to it, as it was meant to. In this case, the unusual Beigeschmack (accompanying taste) of dates/figs & New Zealand honey/fruit is its expression; the residual bitterness in the medium to long finish is part of the character of the wine, and not a reason to reject it out of hand; pair with cheeses, nuts, grilled pork or beef

Deep crimson in color. The nose is an odd mixture of blackberries, cherries, and bourbon with vanilla. I would say the bourbon notes are unpleasant in a wine. The wine is innocuous on the palate with simple red fruit flavors and an astringent tannin component with reasonable acidity and an oaky overtone. There is no complexity in this wine. Meh.

Very fruity (dark, red berries) for a cab, but has enough body and tannin to be complex and enjoyable. The fruit dominated at first. As the glass warmed, oak, vanilla, and bourbon barrel notes appeared. Pleasant dryness on the finish.

Easy, midweight cab. I found any bourbon barrel infusion to be very subtle and doubt I would have noticed in a blind tasting. Had with some brie before heading out to dinner and it worked just fine. Finished it off hours later and it had mellowed considerably.

Medium ruby color. Nose was oak bomb, as expected, with vanilla, ripe red fruit. Medium+ tannin and low acid. Palate was vanilla, oak, red fruit, hint of sweetness, warmness, campfire. I know it's gimmicky, but this is a really good wine, and even better at this price point. Will definitely try again, and again.

The aging in a bourbon barrel intrigued me, so I gave it a try considering I was able to purchase it for $11. I really didn't get much on the noise but the attack had a hint of sweetness which I assume was from the bourbon barrel even though the mid palette was definitely dark fruit. It was a very enjoyable wine. The finish was pleasant but fleeting. I paired it with a wild mushroom rice and seared scallops. No, it didn't over power the entree thus I would say it was a light cab but it did have some character. Very enjoyable.

Costco purchase. Should have bought several bottles but you never know. Liked this a great deal. Would buy again if it is there Excellent with a nice steak
Pleasantly surprised...put through aerator and definitely tasted better. Smooth with a hint of bourbon...i would buy a case and feel good enough to present it at a gathering. Dark fruit, smooth finish...

Big, sweet oak on the nose; even more on the palette. Almost undrinkable by itself. A bit better with food but the finish is pure oak/bourbon barrel, whatever. I can't imagine who would like this wine.

Correct. Pas pour mettre en cave.

Plenty of oak flavor but not much structure underneath. No bourbon flavor. Just comes off a bit rough around the edges. In line with expectations.
