Popped and poured. Lemons rind, sea shell, minerals with a little tropical accent comes through. Medium bodied but lacking a bit of verve. This good not great and needs to be drunk soon.

Popped and poured. Medium bodied. Nice sappy fruit with orchard and tropical accent, a bit of minerality but also exoticism. Drinking fine but a little more advanced than I would have thought. Drink up.

Some sea breeze and grapefruit pith notes, but not nearly as acidic and lacking in tension as expected from this young Dauvissat. The ‘16 Dauvissat-Camus 1er Forest that I brought to Suzanne’s a few weeks ago seemed to have more underlying acidity. This bottle suggests that this is not one for long in the cellar. Bottle 1 of 6. In the Berkshires.

SLDS January 2019: Quince, orange and white tea leaves. Delicate on the palate, with good detail and depth. Teases ripeness at the edges but it has a good mineral backbone that drives through. Youthful but very good.

NR as this was very young and hard to assess, and with the '15 and depending on the night (we had these over three nights) one would outdo the other, both wines felt a little heavy on the minerals and non-fruit side, wondering if the fruit was simply sleeping... hard to assess and not immediately compelled to go out and load up (as I did on this wine in '10 and '12)... we will see but sitting on my hands for now

Domain Vincent Dauvissat 2016 Chablis (Chablis, France): Incredibly powerful lime and minerals in a very linear package. Tons of stone and acidity. Wow, this is classic Chablis that almost hurts to taste this young. Give it at least 6 or 8 years.

Flying l'Yonne; 8/29/2017-9/1/2017 (Irancy - France): Cigarette lighter stone, more tropical and nerve on the nose with a very long acidity on the palate. Also something metallic. It's the first time I taste it, because it is very rare to find al least in Spain, and does not tell me too much. I really had other expectations.
Piedra de mechero, más nervio algo tropical en nariz con una muy larga acidez al paladar. También algo metálico. Es la primera vez que lo cato, por lo raro que es de encontrar, y no me dice gran cosa. Realmente tenía otras expectativas.

not good, not a rebuy, might be youth of the bottle but won't rebuy for sure... had with the '15 bottling too and that was the same (not good)
