cheers - still quite a bit of fruit on the nose when first opened....nicely balanced after an hour open. This would be a 90+ wine if the finish had more length....it's quite short, leaving questions about the wine's complexity

Is there better proof that in Burgundy, vintage trumps everything? This opened with a nose of cherries and plum. Nice minerality. Cherry, plum and blackberry flavors. As usual, served with a perfectly roasted chicken, score reflects the combination with the food.

Very nice and better than it was 15 months ago. Medium bodied, clear garnet in color, light strawberry and rose aromas. Elegant, fresh, crisp, and dry with juicy cherry, strawberry flavors, and a hint of spice. Simple but very good and a good QPR for a French burgundy.

cheers - highly rated by WS, at this price point I bought 3 and figured it was time to try one....did not disappoint, although still drinking very young....light medium ruby color....very thin legs....cherries, strawberries, and leather on the nose...fruit and some earth, medium high acidity, low to medium tannins (more than I expected), smooth and balanced with nice finish....will try to wait until 2022 before I try the next one

Medium-light body, reddish-purple color w/ excellent clarity in the glass. Plenty of black cherry, spice, and mineral notes on the nose. Cherry, black pepper spice, a hint of cinnamon, & earthy hints on the palate. Well balanced with some tannins and a slightly firm structure. Overall an excellent Pinot Noir.

This Bourgogne is in a nice place now and will drink well for a couple of years still at least if stored properly. A good intro to the Jadot house style. A bit more rich and dark than other houses’ Bourgognes. A good entry level house wine which would be versatile with a variety of dishes.

Light- to medium-bodied Pinot with a soft approach that builds in complexity as the sip lingers. Cherry, blueberry, leather, tar and graphite are prominent and lead to an earthy yet creamy finish. Value can’t be beaten.

Very good entry level wine. In fact I quite like this and it shows that these kind of wines in ripe vintages like 2015 really come out well. This is a very substantial with substance. The wine gained weight after about 30 min in the glass. I suspect this will age pretty well for 5-8 years. The nose is a modest nose of cherry and earth. The palate is translucent dark red with flavors of cherry, raspberry, earth and spice with good and fresh acidity and a simple finish. This was very satisfying and a good everyday food wine.

On the lighter side with some acids and not a ton of complexity. Yet it's well made and affordably priced for Burgundy. Cherries, minerals, flowers and some soil on the nose. Tart cranberry seems to dominate the palate. Graphite, mushrooms, tar on the chalky finish.

Easy going and approachable. Red berries on the tarty side, but enough fruit to get your attention. Acidity is a bit pokey at this point. Doesn't take too much away from what is a good mid-week option to match with lamb.

A nice young Burgundy. Following the current reviews I decided to open mine while there's still the option to buy more. This is a young, complex wine with some mid-term opportunity to age and gain complexity. The fruit is there. The acid is spot on. Nose has a nice earthy note, cranberry, tart red fruit. Palate showing cranberry, earth and some decent grip. The finish has some decent length. 2015 is a great Burgundy vintage. Even the Bourgogne level wines are excellent values and have potential for some aging. Will buy again.

Astringent and tannic without the fruit to offset. Decanted and waited an hour, no real change. But too light to drink with heartier meat dishes. Inexpensive but not worth the price. Much better light pinots out there.

Medium body, bright ruby color. Elegant wild fruits and flowers aroma. Cherry and strawberry palate with mineral finish. Very charm, light and fresh, harmonious and well balanced, live acidity and silky tannins. Food friendly, best match is stewed poultry. Serve 17º - 22º. Drink now and next three/four years.
This wine was a decent "Sunday wine" opened to drink, and use to cook as it was the cheapest option I had available. While it was "dead" when first uncorked; it seemed to open up as a good casual drinking wine after 30 minutes sitting in the glass. I would buy this again on sale but it seemed to lack complexity. Overall was a decent value but not a special event wine.

Sweet confection, scented candle & oak in the aromatics with a bland mid palate and somewhat herbal side to the finish. Feels like this was manufactured for the American west coast Pinot Noir palate. Haven't had a LJ Bourgogne in years, this is probably why.

I never gave a wine such low score. This wine is not good. Smells and tastes like sugar free pomegranate juice from your supermarket health food section. One-dimentional does not describe this wine. There is no dimention here period. I remember reading a winemaker’s note on 2015 vintage. He said, the grapes were so good, if you didn’t make good wine that year, you probably should leave this business. Totally agree with him on this one. Save your $$.

Pleasant enough every day drinker...I had wanted to try this for a while but found it less enjoyable than I had hoped. Some recently tasted "Villages" level 2015's have been much better. This lacked acidity and seemed somewhat flabby and one dimensional. Some cherry and pomegranate fruit was there but overall not that interesting. Reasonable price but...

2nd tasting of this over last 3 months. Appears to have some bottle variation....it was better this time....probably still evolving? A simple wine but good. Fine for weekday drinking, and definitely not bad for the price.

Pleasant, but like another reviewer wrote, one-dimensional. Not very Burgundian, I would say. Balance is not bad. Could use a bit more acid and complexity.

Aromas of cherry, mushroom, touch of strawberry and earth. Flavors mush of the same stuff. Has a nice cherry note. Ends with a earthy cherry driven finish of 15+ seconds. Pleasant Burg for everyday drinking.

Very nice color. The nose shows slightly rustic aromas of cherry, strawberry, earth, flowers and a hint of minerals. This is barely medium bodied on the palate with good concentration. The medium plus length finish feature good acidity and firm, earthy tannins. Lacks a bit of richness...

Pretty good for under $20. Cherries, typical Burgundy flavors. A little room to improve.
