Attractively resolved, everything amalgamated beautifully, with lime, honeysuckle, blackcurrant leaf and cream on the nose, then passionfruit and underripe peach on the palate, softened with a touch of barley sugar. Not too sweet, just mellow despite the brightness of the flavours - very easy to consume and enjoy.

Honey and citrus on a very balanced palate. Just the right amount of sweetness to stand up to our lamb shoulder, slow-roasted with chilies. Delightful.

Lovely bottle of this, fully resolved, light petrol nose but beautifully pure citrus. Rich, yellow fruits, good acidity for the vintage. Fruit coming into its own. This is very nice mature Riesling.

Not as exciting as the bottle I had last year. Creamy mango and wafts of kerosene (which I didn't get last year, and which I enjoy). Tasty but not attention-grabbing.

Pale gold in appearance, with a medium nose of kerosene, honey, white flowers, and lime. Medium sweet acidity is low, and quite full bodied, with flavours of stone fruits, and honied lime. There is a dry mineral finish. Pleasantly mature Spatlese , the low acidity means the wine lacks the refreshing cut of the best Rieslings.

Clear pale gold in the glass, pronounced nose of nectarine, honey, kerosene, lemon curd, ginger, muscat, banana (?), orange flower. Medium / off dry palate, full body, petrol, peach, minerality, lemon and a touch of leather. Extremely long - palate is tightly structured, proceeding in waves of acid enveloping the tongue, like a gentle floral mist! Botticelli’s Spring in a glass. What a delightful wine.

Krotida Wine Gang Tasting, Germany and Alsace Riesling (Fita): The wine is light and airy in the nose, ethereal with fresh citrus notes. The wine is explosive in the palate, orange and citrus notes, medium to high acidity, oddly enough thin to medium body, very extrovert though, delicate, elegant, lime, lemon, tropical fruit, long finish. Outstanding quality

Outrageous nose of exotic tropical fruit and something melancholy also in the aroma, perhaps the effect of ageing. Delicate and sweet, beautiful, rounded and creamy.

Just so enjoyable: bright, juicy acidity, so it's thirst-quenching as well as luscious. Like being in a Starburst advert. Big flavour of tropical fruit, with some breadiness on the finish. Didn't detect any kerosene in this one.

Med gold, on the nose lemon rind, nectarines, honey and petrol, a steely edge. Medium/off-dry, elderflower, lemon and muscat on the palate. The key distinguishing feature is the perfectly integrated and balanced structure - the gentleness of the floral and honey characteristics contrasted with the considerable, chewy acid. Three separate acid peaks on the palate, but overall it tastes like a dewy flower melting on your tongue... very very long. One to savour. What a steal for the age and quality.

Tasted hosted by The Wine Society, UK. A rare opportunity to taste this 15 years after the vintage. Medium gold colour. Very petroly on the nose (which some will like, others including me less so). We thought it was medium sweet on the palate and almost dessert wine status. Suit apple pie and ice cream. It's probably good value at £29, but I didn't buy any.

This was a good wine by any standard, a bit disappointing given age and producer. Every element was muted. Had a lovely balance, but just didn't shine. Did not give it any air and the glassware was a bit imperfect. Let's see what happens next time.

Medium-plus intensity nose domanted by petrol, wax but with lots of softer aroma's of honey and butter. Delicious off-dry and well balanced (with less domanant acidity as younger riesling) and a long finish. Still quite fresh despite 15 years of age. Quality older riesling. (Cork was in bad shape but wine was fine)

While this had bags of flavour and was in good condition age-wise it had a slight musty, cardboard note. Sometimes old Riesling can have that but in this case I think this was mildly corked. Need to try another bottle to be sure.

Love wine, very long, balanced acidity, pear and lime juice. A bit tricky to match with food as it’s not sweet enough for a dessert but might be too sweet for a main course. Worked great as an aperitif with some fish pate

Brass colour with green shades. Shows lime and sweet lemon outfront. Elegantly textured like a Mosel with sweetness lifted by its piercing acidity effortlessly. Not as complex as a great Mosel.

Beautiful honeyed fruit, but the decaying cork presaged a decaying wine - the acidity is nearly gone.
