La Paulée de New York Grand Tasting (Pier Sixty - New York NY): Tasting, brief note. Complex red and black cherry aromas with background savory spice. Similar flavors with good density and very good length. Slightly firm from middle to finish. Needs a decade to show its full potential, with 91-93 point potential.

Leiden in Scheveningen’s Gouden Kalf: Lovely red fruit in nose and taste, good structured body with great mouthfeel, still young but showing huge potential.

Barrel sample. This producer presented an amazingly consistent and successful range which from bottom to top was marked by excellent fruit and a very inviting elegant sheer deliciousness. Bravo.
The Clos Vougeot offered almost decadent fruit. Such perfume and elegance. I aimed to purchase purchased on the basis of this tasting... alas no allocation available.

La Paulée 2019 Grand Tasting of 2016 Burgundy (Pier 60, New York): Bigger wine, more serious black fruit, fine acid/soil mix. Moderately terroir driven but still fairly open, supple, and civilized for Clos Vougeot. Really good, better in 10 years.
