Delicious. Silky smooth with good fruit, nice finish. drank immediately after opening which was fine. usually I let brunellos age but this young one was great

This bottle is opened up with a 2012, four 2016s, and a 1999 Antico. This appears as a dense, thick, red with dark fruit, dark cherry plum, integrated oak, ripe fruit and tannins. Interesting to see if it becomes the wind the 99 has become, which was very enjoyable on this evening. I find it remarkable how Brunellos age

I received this gem as a Christmas present and I popped it open several evening's ago. It sat in the decanter briefly and I poured it to celebrate the New Year. I took my first sip as the ball in Times Square dropped. My first impression was fairly good. The wine drank nicely for a young Brunello. It displayed aroma's of menthol, licorice and cassis. I sipped some more on evening two and it had mellowed out nicely. This is definitely a wine that will only get better with age and I plan to add a few bottles to my cellar.

Appearance: Med ruby Nose: Med+ intensity, cedar, dark cherry, red roses, bean, capsicum, developing. Palate: Dry, high acidity, high alcohol, med+ tannins (silky) med+ body, med+ intensity, blueberries, red plum, med+ finish. Overall, very good wine. I believe the wine is a little corked which impacts the performance on the nose. What a shame! The wine is still very refresh, elegant and well balance on the palate. I like the style of the wine.

Gorgeous at this stage, right in between nice ripe fruit and the beginning of aging. Intensive and enjoyable at p&p. Not sure I want this to age any further.

Fine showing. Tart cherry, with a firm tannic background. Not over-extracted or heavy, aged in traditional 40 hl (1,050 gallons) Slavonian oak barrels, not much oak on the palate. Balanced, pure sangiovese fruit, drinking well now.

One of the highest vineyards in Brunello, altitude of 450m. Fermentation in stainless steel tanks, wine is aged in Slavonian oak for 42 months and 18 months in bottle. Medium ruby red colour. Medium intensity aroma of cherries, cranberries, earth, dried rose petals, undergrowth, liquorice hint. Medium body, feels elegant, fragrant, round and approachable with bright and vibrant acidity, polished and well structured fine tannins.

The wine looks brick colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like mushroom and forest floor. It tastes like bell pepper, green olive and sherry. The body is medium. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has high acidity. I have not been impressed with any 2015 BDM I have tried I will hold and try in a couple of years but not expecting much

Cherry, some blueberry and plum notes, tobacco. Love the nose. Full bodied, earthy and evolves in the glass. Long finish. Still young but excellent and I think will even get better with some aging. Great wine.
Initially, I thought this might be corked. However, the TCA aroma blew off after an hour in the decanter. However, I was expecting more from this wine because every 2015 Brunello that I’ve had thus far have had a sweet and pure fruit quality. This was an old school, rustic, traditional Brunello that was much more tobacco, leather, and mineral driven than fruit driven. This gets me back to my TCA theory... is this 2015 Brunello really this rustic or is there a slight cork taint that killed the fruit this early in its evolution? I need another bottle to bring closure to this mystery.
With a floral and red fruity nose, this wine opened up nicely after a 3 hour decant. Red cherry, plum cross the palate where cocoa and pipe tobacco hitting mid palate before a round-mouthed, long pleasing finish.

like many BdMs of 2015, for me, despite the hype, these are "just ok". Flat. just no wow factor. They are smooth though and hopefully with age will become more interesting, but for now, have tried many, they are all 89-91 points for me, with little true differentiation. strange !

Dark red cherry and fresh red plum fill the mouth on this fruit forward young Brunello. Right now, this one is all about the fruit. But it’s also very well structured, with firm tannins and bright beam of acid. This will age and really express the notes of camphor, soil, black tea and spice that come out with time. The finish is superb here as well. Coming from some of the highest vineyards in Montalcino, this spends 30 months in 40hl Slavonian oak with 18 months in bottle. 3,000 cases produced.

A good sense of place on the nose, with much more acid/balance/terroir than I was expecting on the palate. Good, more traditional than modern, to be sure. A bit of warmth in the center that I think will resolve in a few years. Very fine tannins, good+ purity. It's not ideal for my palate, but I think time may correct this, bringing the wine more into balance. highly recommended, drink 2025-2040+

PnP, second glass better than the first. Darker fruit and spice profile. Decent length if not overly complex. B.W. likes more than I do.
