Deep bouquet with raisins, spiciness, cherries, dates and figs. Same on the palate, chocolate as well, cedar, firm sweetness and acidity as well, a bit heat in the finish.

Typical in style for the producer, which is positive. Very fresh with balanced acidity. Blackberry, raisins and plum on the palate. As always, Taylor’s has got a rare freshness making it a standout from many tawny producers, who sometimes get stuck with too much oak and too little acidity. The blue/blackberry note is very nice.

Medium garnet colour. Medium (+) nose with red plum, fig, raisin, orange marmalade, caramel, coffee, cinnamon and marzipan. Medium (+) taste of ripe red plum, raisin, fig, caramelised orange peel, orange marmalade, caramel, marzipan, cinnamon and alcohol. Medium long and sweet finish. Light tannins. High alcohol. Full body. A good Tawny Port that lacks the well integrated alcohol and feels a bit short. Drink now. Goes well with desserts.

Fairly clear oxblood red. Clearly a tawny with some age and far from a young VP in colour. Sweet red fruits on the nose, slight rancio, some bitter orange peel. Great texture and weight in the mouth. Nice complexity with flavours of raspberry, cherry, red plums, mixed stewed red berries, some woody notes and still a bit of a tannic bite on the finish. Very good length, with a bit of warmth that comes through at the end. Very good indeed!

Rich garnet chestnut colored.
Big whiff of alcohol,
But otherwise nice sweet nutty, oxidized flavors
plum and candied bitter orange peel
Nice sipping tawny.
Simple finish
