Really pleasant Rose on a warm California evening. Smooth with a dry and crisp style but strawberry on the palate in terms of taste. This was a really pleasant surprise. Bought two on sale and the first was great QPR. Will drink my last bottle of this shortly.

Retail $25. Grenache, Cinsault, Rolle. Here is what I wrote last year: "For a number of years now, I have been a fan of Château d'Esclans and Whispering Angel. I've also been of the opinion that this True Rosé (i.e., NOT a saignée) has the ability to age, not indefinitely, of course, but certainly for at least a few years. This 2.5-year-old beauty has turned much more floral than fruity on the nose. The fruit is still there in droves on the palate, though, with minerality and salinity. Wonderful. Perhaps better than last year." I stand by every word of that (and it may even be better yet).
Solid rose and once again delivers on a lovely hot afternoon In London. Soft, not confectionery and very welcoming easy drinking wine. Only shame on this is not going for the Rock angel. 88

A bit bland and dull. Round on the tongue, not too sharp, but tart enough to not be cloying. Bit of rubber on the nose fresh from the bottle, but it blew off after an hour or two. There's a savoury edge. The fruit (possibly tropical?) is mild for me, not pronounced. Tails off into a hint of green flavours. The flavour profile is light, but body is quite full on at 13.5%.

Nose of salt, hint of raspberry and hint of lime. Would not exactly call this nose "jumping out of the glass." Flavors of cherry, strawberry and a touch of lime. Ends with a 10-15 second finish with a slight cherry note. Simple, easy drinking but can get that for half the price.

Very good. The classic. Might have lost a bit of its freshness compared to earlier bottles of same vintage. Drink now.
Pale to medium salmon color. Aroma is very light red fruit, maybe strawberry and red raspberry. On the palate still bright acidity, more red raspberry or tart cherry. Finish is looking and pleasant. Almost slightly sweet, definite cherry note and acidity comes into balance with fruit.
Best if warms closer to cellar temp. Out of fridge unbalanced towards acidity.

Very dependable rose and will not fail. Soft round, very welcoming and granted it lacks the density of flavour of the rock Angel , good presence and makes for very good drinkin in a variety of occasions on hot summer days. Better young and fresh.

Nice pale salmon colour. A very pleasant and full bodied rosé. Nose is very fruity reminds me of a sweet box. In mouth very present and of medium length. This is the type of rosé I would recommend with a fine Thai, or Indian meal on the one end or with a mix of meguez and lamb chops I’ve the grill on the other end. I had heard much about this rose and it lives upto it hype though it may be about 25% over priced.

I can't say enough about this Rosé. The nose brims with peach, tangerine, and cream aromas. The sleek, juicy frame delivers red berries, citrus pith, and palate cleansing minerality. It's so focused and delineated and shows classic driven terroir. Delicious and excellent value too.

Retail $25. A few years ago, Sacha Lichine, son of famed wine writer and producer Alexis Lichine, anticipated the growth in rosé wines and purchased Château d'Esclans in 2006 with the goal to make the best rosés in the world. Whether one agrees that they are the best in the world (he produces four Rosés under the label) is of course arguable, but there is no debate that the “entry level” wine, Whispering Angel, is one of the most successful rosés on the market today. And it should be. Quite pale salmon color with rose petals, tight red berries, and hints of rhubarb and crushed rock. Clean, pure, liquid sunshine from the Côte d’Azur. If this can’t make you love summer, you either fear the warmth of the sun or you are the Snow Miser. thedrunkencyclist.com

Drank at PJ Clarke’s Sidecar in NYC. Short note agree with other CT users this is very full bodied with high toned fruit without cloying. Paired surprisingly well with wagyu burger.

Juicy, full-bodied palate of strawberries, raspberries and a hint of peach. Crisp acidity and a ripe, elegant persistence. This is a delicious Provence rosé with a lush and distinctive mouthfeel.

Seymour Wine Club Meeting 8/11/18 (Home of the Slywka's): Tasted blind. Nose was badly corked although it wasn't showing up on the palate yet. Tried to do the saran wrap thing. Brought the corked nose down a notch but it was still really bad.

Helt ok, lite tunn smak... men en vacker solig sommardag så är det klart drickbart! Men behöver inte köpa fler utav denna!

Spicy nose with rhubarb and fennel. Very, very good rose that outperforms its rather affected name.

Drank over two days. 2nd day was as good if not better than first. Peach in color. Nose of melon. Dry and acidic. Flavor of refreshing my lime, subtle strawberry and finishes with the melon in the nose. Would certainly buy again.

This had a smooth, round, elegant bouquet of raspberry, strawberry, cherry, tangerine and mineral aromas. The palate was crisp, dry and elegant with flavors that followed the nose. 89+

I can't say enough about this Rosé. The nose brims with peach, tangerine, and cream aromas. The sleek, juicy frame delivers red berries, citrus pith, and palate cleansing minerality. It's so focused and delineated and shows classic driven terroir. Delicious and excellent value too.

If you like Miraval...you will love this.
From the son of the legendary Alexis Lichine, comes this high-end Provence project - and what a sleek, delicate, delicious Rosé it is.
Strawberry watermelon is the theme on the nose & palate with juicy fresh lemons & rhubarb on the finish.
Elegant & expressive as you can get for Rosé.

Smooth onset of citrus notes and a short finish that does not stop abruptly but rather drifts and ends quietly.

I had this while smoking a prime rib roast on 6/2/18. It had a classic bouquet of raspberry, strawberry, cherry, tangerine and mineral aromas. The palate was crisp with nice acidity…flavors followed the nose.

Dependable all rounder of a Rose. well made, effortless in a way, light floral. Soft touch of a confectionery side but we will forgive that . We do prefer the rock angel from Esclans but really all rose needs a hot day at the beach. A hot day in London is not enough. 87
