pop and pour, showing a lot of CA Syrah chatacter, bacon fat, olive, good blue fruits. Still a good bit of tannins, some acid. Seems to be coming into a really good place. About an hour in, the tannins mellow a bit. Very nice Cali Syrah, always really happy with Alder Springs fruit.

Check RHORSEY’s note below - nailed it. Particularly the neutral oil note; very well-put and not sure I’ve detected specifically neutral oil, and this really is that, in a Syrah before. This wine has so many interesting nuances, very savory but the high-toned acidity also as stated in the other notes very cool wine. 93 on intellectual pleasure.

Amazing palet of black and red fruits with a high-flyer of lemon acid. Nice steak fat base on the fore palet which dissolves into sweet butter (almost cab-like) in the mid to late palet. Cloying sweetness around end indicates I’ve been drinking way to many harsh and aggressive natural wines. Great spice through the end of the flavor profile. Drank through five hours - suprisingly stable throughout. The mid body between fruit and spice is lacking in flavor (at least 2/3rds of a second) but still has great volume from the sense of butter or maybe neutral oil.

Drinking very nicely right now. PnP. Middle weight for Bedrock, rich ripe black-blue CA Syrah fruit, moderate gaminess, a soupçon of olive brine, and perfectly balanced acid. Very accessible and just a touch more depth than the basic North Coast syrah

This is a really great Syrah. Dark purple. Dark berries, pepper and meat on the nose. Perfectly balanced with a long taste. Just entering the drinking window with plenty of years ahead.

Smokey meaty Syrah. Palate is refined, elegant, with a orange citrus streak mixed in with the dark spicy fruit. Finishes with some pepper. Lots going on here. Fantastic new world Syrah.

Five months after my previous comment that it was too young, I couldn't wait to open a bottle and found the next one greatly improved. Not sure if it was the time difference or bottle variation, but either way this was an excellent syrah, a mouthful of fruit and tannins that paired especially well with our chocolate dessert. While best to hold a bit longer probably, I found it nice now.

Really enjoyed. Quite young. Has a polished feel, but plenty of depth. Pepper spice and purple fruit in the nose. Palate is quite narrow and fine, showing a lot of structure. Acidity up front and plenty of fine tannin on the back end. There’s enough fruit to balanced and there’s plenty of length. Needs a couple years to soften but is very good. Nice balance.

Lightish to me. Good pepper notes in the finish. Decent finish.

Concentrated, vigorous, and fruit forward, yet maintaining a degree of elegance as well. Notes of black cherry, olive brine, smoked meats.

PnP. No notes taken True to variatal form with savory notes over blue and dark fruits. Great balance and drinking well into its early window.

Damn delicious at a 3+ hour decant, though not showing tons of Syrah specific characteristics. Just a fun wine.

Too young. All the pieces are there, but the tannins aren't integrated yet.
