From a reputable German winery more known for their red wines. Oak and honey dew melon on the nose. Grapefruit, lime, melon, and oak on the palate. Very dry. Too much oak for my liking. Lacks balance.

From one of the better growers of pinot varietals. Think Alsace+!. Hard to imagine the vineyard designated version being any better than this. Tried a bottle and then bought a case! Seems to carry more weight and depth compared to Alsace versions. I'm sure the excellent harvest conditions helped. Ripe peaches with Chablis like acidity. :) Pfalz = dry. Soooo good now, I would like to see where goes in 5 years.

PnP at cellar temperature. A really well-put together, balanced Pinot blanc. Preserved orange peel, macadamia nut, and orchard fruit on the nose and palate. A little carbonation/spritz on the entry with medium acid and a big, round mouthfeel. Moderate length finish. Best now through 2019. "Very good-to-excellent," 90/100.
