Brought to the table by HMC......wins WOTN to me. Slow oxed like 3 hours plus another hour or two in the decanter here at the house. So smooooooth, so integrated. Hard to beat. The fruit is just a tad subdued but many TK get that way. The energy provided by the acidic backbone carries this through a very nice ending and finish. Rich and elegant. I'm a sucker for structure. Thanks HMC!

Napa 2019; 7/14/2019-7/18/2019: A really good effort here that had lots of air. Red fruit, tobacco and an earthy mineral streak. This was slightly muted compared to the Missouri Hopper, but I think this will age much better and win a marathon when comparing the two. The Hopper is for now and the next few years, the To Kalon is for later—definitely 98-99 potential with 7-9 years on it—if I can wait that long.

Fabulous dark fruit. Dark cherry, chocolate, earthiness, floral nose at first open. Licorice!

pretty classic BTK. Always drinks well, always needs time in the decanter. Slightly more earthy.
