given how much I enjoyed the 2013s, I was slightly disappointed in this vintage. A little clunky and overly fruit driven without much else going for it. On its own, I would have enjoyed it more, but it was part of a tasting and the other wines where just better in comparison.

I note a considerable difference of opinion on prior comments. I'm afraid I favor the negative. After PnP, this tastes of plum/blueberry cough syrup with moderate+ acidity and moderate tannins. Finish is long and bitter... while I suppose one could call it tar. Quite disjointed and out of balance. May have improved one point 3 hours after decanting. 87-88.

Fruit bomb, modern up-front style. None of the three of us who had it liked it. Ripe Blueberry, blackberry, and earthy. Very heavy on the alcohol. I bought four bottles based on the reviews, so maybe the other ones will get better with time.
Wow, this is a well-polished red with a great balance and purity. Forest floor, blackberry, sweet potato, and wintergreen notes come through. It is a killer value.

65% Grenache and 35% Syrah. Not decanted. Deep purple color. Rich red and black fruit with solid tannins. Paired this with grilled hanger steak at Salt of the Earth. 91 points

On the nose floral, red/dark fruit, mocha, spices, hints of minerality and cocoa. Good concentration on the palate, spicy, ripe tannins, layered, good acidity, fine length. Very nice. 91-92+

Blend of 55% Mourvedre with 45% Syrah. Aged for 18 months in oak. Lovely perfume with compelling aromas of plum and black cherry under a frame of cedar. Long and refined with fine drawn tannins and a crystal-clear expression of fruit.

A little funk on a solid fruit core, may improve a bit over next couple years.

Rund og blød uden kanter. Varm og med et lille tanninbid. Nem vin.

Fruit bomb: ripe blueberries, cherries, and plum. Jammy sweetness.
Medium-full bodied. High alcohol (you can smell it). And the high alcohol is masking the fruit. Finish is short and clean. Some lingering strawberry.
Zero tannins, super crisp and clean. New world winemaking. Granite is present on the texture, zero oak or vegetative presence.
Not well balanced at this age. Might get better with time, but not sensing serious aging potential either.

Delicious. Deep red, rich color with a strong caramel and vanilla mix in the initial taste. Lots of fruit. Earthy.
