Modest, earthy, inviting nose; dry yet fruity (cranberry), with medium acidity to balance; decent finish for pinot; slightly funky, Burgundy elements that are interesting yet slightly wierd; paired well with TJs mushroom turnovers.

This has improved a lot since the last time I tasted it. Previously, it was too fruity for my taste. The fruit (sour cherry, red fruit) has balanced with the acids and tannins. Medium finish. Very good QPR if you have the patience.

sour cherry on the nose @ opening. pretty acidic, earth on the nose and palate. little funk going on with the nose. a bit thin in the mouthfeel. good juice, esp for the price (25).

One of the better pinots that I have had in a while. Big fruit on the nose with a hint of spice. Very smooth on the palate, mild tannins. Great finish with a hint of oak. Last bottle but heard the '07 is outstanding. Perfect since I have an open space in my cellar!!

Airy, perfumed nose of black raspberry, clove, allspice, balsa, charcoal grilled meats. Focused, foresty palate of crushed black raspberry, zingy minerals and nutmeg. The dark forest elements continue on to the finish along with Xmas spice, flowers and a touch of orange peel. Precise, just lacks a little depth.

some anderson valley pain d'epices with red/blue fruits. other than that, very disappointing - flabby and one dimensional, limp. was close to being beat by a £8 chilean pinot from tescos we had afterwards. at least that one had its acid in balance. meh!

Opened not decanted. Funky nose of dark earth, red fruit, with a touch of UPS guy sweat. On the palate: dry cherry fruit with a little heat and a dry finish. Fair to Good.

Quintessential Anderson Valley Savoy nose - I could have picked this blind. Not overly complex at this point with a hint of bitterness on the back end. I think this wine needs time to open up and flesh out. Rated 88 with upside potential.

11/27/2022 - Neecies Does not like this wine:
Have loved aged Roessler pinots in the past but this one was cloudy and funky. Two thumbs down.
