Appearance is still excellent and completely belies its age - completely opaque with very little bricking around the rims.
Nose gives off eucalyptus and buckets of black currants. Medium bodied, this was not an Aussie bruiser but rather showed that Australia can do a sophisticated take of a classic Bordeaux-blend. Medium-plus length and now completely integrated and with super smooth tannins.
Still a lovely wine drinking amazingly.

The 'Pyrus' was Lindeman's flagship bordeaux blend from Coonawarra and not widely distributed in the U.S. Initial funk blows off revealing mint, eucalyptus and olives on sweet cherry and black currant fruit. Deceptively youthful for it's age and type. PnP'd, the wine gained weight with air and the leftovers were stellar about five hours later.
20 yo Coonawarra Cabernet - classic (Cabernet Sauvignon 62%, Merlot 21%, Cabernet Franc 10%, Malbec 6%)
Colour excellent for its age still red , cork excellent although someone else mentioned it was tight , very tight Nose Herbal and cedary, with aromas of sweet cigars. Plenty of black current cassis mint chocolate The palate smooth and rich great intensity and harmony and balance and super long finish I think the addition of Malbec has given this wine a great backbone of tannin Overall fantastic - pity it's my last bottle

Beautiful Wine! Rich, smooth and seductive. I had this wine about 10 years ago and it was just OK. Boy has it developed and I'm guessing it is at its peak. Wish I had more.

Less good than the prior bottle, but still a delicious wine. Still very dark with little bricking on the rim.Forward rich, minty blackcurrant fruit with a herbal tinge and some wood. Ripe, rounded and decadent on the palate, sweet at first but dried out a little, lovely long dusty currant and blackberry fruit. Finish beginning to get a little short which makes me think this is nearing the end of its useful life.

I think the term is OMFG. Although the cork was pretty dry and didn't come out very easily, immediately on decanting this stuff just started singing. Very forward smell of mint and eucalyptus over sweet blackcurrant fruit. Palate was full and sweet as well, lots of blackcurrant and blackberry fruit, with a hint of spices and mint. Finish still had some dry tannins and a good streak of acidity. This was one of the more complex wines I've had. Absolutely perfect drinking now.

NobleRottersSydney - Blends night (Lucio's, Paddington): Bluish-red in colour. Sweet spicy fruit on the nose; developed aromas of berries and oak mingle together. Drink now. A pleasant wine, but far from complex. Presumably pretty strict fruit selection went into this wine in a difficult vintage - there are no signs of unripeness – but it really doesn’t have anywhere to go. Drink now.

A stray bottle was drinkable but a littletired. The 1994 vintage was much better.

A very Australian take on a Classic Bordeaux blend, still drinking wonderfully well after all these years. Sublime.

{cork} A minty, herbaceous wine with a hollow palate. A vintage to avoid.
