Very young and points for prospectivity. For me was a class above everything else on offer - mainly other Aussie Shiraz. Had a balance, structure and complexity albeit young and bold. Red and dark plums, mulberry and some sweet/aromatic and woody (cedar) spices. I suspect a good future.

Restrained nose of cherries, blackcurrant, blackcurrant leaf, blackberry. Tight on the palate with robust tannin. Hardly giving anything away at first but opened up in the glass. Strongly recommend a 1 hour+ decant.

Hunter Whistlestop 2020 #1 (Hunter Valley): Peppery, blackberry and cherry, sweet spice and a little cedar sits beneath this. Juicy, savoury, blackberry, quite tight tannins. It's a little hard; perhaps lacks generosity but does travel long. Time may help.

Glossy, fluro purple colour gives a hint as to what's coming. This is a very good result in a very good vintage. Still painfully young but enjoyable now, the fruit leading the way, red and purple berries. Tannins play a fine supporting role and add a smokey note to the mix. Looking forward to watching these grow up.
